Ooo, interesting stuff. I would totally be on board with carts.
There's been more substantial evidence of NX using memory carts in the past so no surprises here.
I'm sure Nintendo have had a hard time making an open world game running straight from a disc so it would have been a big motivating factor to switch to flash memory.
I want gold zelda cartridges!!!!!

Great, I think that Nintendo will be very capable of supporting both handled/home console, avoiding droughts. A solid third party cataloge would help though.
Best news ever. It means that cross platform play will be as easy as plugging in a cart. I'm sure there'll be patches and DLC to consider, but this is an immediate performance boost and a boost in loading times. I'm glad that Nintendo is going back to carts. Now everything finally feels right once again.

It would be strange if the third parties that work on the 3DS abandoned Nintendo out of the blue. |
Yep, that's what I think. I'd be happy if companies like Atlus, SE, Koei-Tecmo, Capcom... supported the NX. If the NX is a sucess, I can see more of them developing for the console. If that's not the case, a catalogue similar to a combined 3DS/WiiU catalogue would be insane.
They likely just copied all videogame related terms when filing the trademark.
It also says video game memory cards. NX confirmed to use memory cards!
Oh it gets interesting now. I would like it to be true, and especially I would like the speculation about games being playable on both a home and handheld version of the console to be true.
If it's true, I guess they will be 32gb or 50gb cartridges. They better be big cartridges, I don't want the next Xenoblade to be limited by lack of storage capacity.
