Forums - Gaming Discussion - Everyone will go back/go-to to a Nintendo platform at some point (Opinion)

Pokemon and Pikmin are pretty much the only 2 Nintendo games i want to play recently for some reason. Sucks too since I loved my N64 and GC. Nintendo games just don't do it for me anymore. The other consoles are just better in my opinion and offer far more variety. Way more than just violent games, shooters and cinemactis.

Yeah... no. I get tons of variety on PS4 and PC. I do enjoy Nintendo games but I'm not buying hardware for them. If they went 3rd party sure.

I have to disagree with your opinion. I started as a Nintendo gamer with NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy, GBC, AND GBA. Since then I have only recieved Nintendo platfotms as gifts, and I asked that no one buy me a handeld starting with the DSi, and I would not accept a WiiU either.

The only way Nintendo can win me back is to make a Smartphone/Handheld hybrid, and I highly doubt that will happen, but if it does I will be there day one.

Nintendos software really took a nose dive after Gameboy Advance and Gamecube. They still make decent games from time to time, but nothing good enough for me to buy a second or third home/mobile platform to play.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

I probably will but absolutely not for the reasons OP has stated ...

If their handhelds go down in the shitter, I will not be considering Nintendo platforms anytime soon since their games weren't savory enough ...

Nintendo has been an utter disappointment for the past half decade and console gaming would suck if it were Nintendo only even coming from a PC gamer since I believe both of the HD twins can differentiate themselves to not be labelled as "dumbed down PCs" when the same could be said true for the other way around ...

Wii U is my last Nintendo console as a main console, I'm leaving Nintendo this generation. Although I love 3DS, Wii U is a huge let down for me.

I disagree with you OP because I think Nintendo games looks more and more dated. I don't think people who plays PS/X only will eventually care about Mario/Pokemon/Zelda.

If you ask me, I think I'll always end up buying a Nintendo console for Pokemon, FE, Xenoblade and a few other titles, but only if I find a cheap deal with all the games I wanted already released.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

All those points are much better answered by indies than modern Nintendo games. They also seem extremely myopic to the point where it is no longer simple ignorance, but a sort of active ignorance you constantly need to reinforce and delude yourself with. You got to keep that next-gen ignorance locked up, any exposure to real world vanish it, expose it for the fantasy it is.

so much truth.

right now i'm playing rocket league and broken age (and uncharted).  i've got the witness and ratchet and clank in my backlog.  i just finished valient hearts.  i'm looking forward to things like dreams and spiderman and no man's sky.

the assumption that only nintendo makes games that arent' violent shooters is just wrong.  playstation has far more options in the non-violent and non-shooter games than nintendo by the fact that playstation has a lot more games.  playstation just has the most well rounded library there is.  nintendo makes some games and some of them are even good but there is no void that they can fill for me.

In no way am I assuming that only Nintendo make non violent games but at times it seems they are the only paltform that isn't flooded by them, Actually I just watched the latest Jimquisition  a couple of hours ago and he touched upon some of the points I was trying to make and probably does a lot better job than I did.

Also the point I was trying to say in the OP probably isn't the clearest explanation of what I actually wanted to say and it definitely sounded a lot better before I put it into words but there has been quite a few poeple in this thread who understood what I said as they have been there and it's happened to them at some point.

than you haven't read your own IP.

you said i'll eventually pick up a nintendo system because i'll eventually get tired of playing violent shooters and will want to play non-violent family and non-solo experiences.  core to that assertion is that if i am to buy another console to get those experiences than it means that i cannot get those experiences on my previous choice in console.

wrong.

Cartridges and cross play between console and handheld will bring me back. I love nintendos handheld games but I really don't like handhelds. I mean they are ok but I like to play on the big screen.
