uggggggg.... no.

i mean, i wont believe they will be able to pick themselves up again if the NX fails, but Nintendo makes all my favorite games, at least most of them. i would probably go PC / Nintendo hybrid.

John2290. You know the "Nintendo is Doomed" thing will not happen in our lifetimes. They are sitting on too much money for that to happen. Maybe they will move more towards mobile if the NX fails, but they will be around for a very long time.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

While it may be a overall/financial failure, I absolutely love the Wii U and the games it has. I'm assuming the same will be true for the NX, so the answer is mostly likely no.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

Some people in the thread don't realize that you can't abandon what you were never with :-p

OT: Nope. Couldn't buy a WiiU because of financial issues but I bought a 600$ 3DS XL so you can kinda tell how hardcore I am when it comes to Nintendo lol.

In what sense do you mean fail? The Wii U did fail sales wise, but game wise, it did quite alright. It's got a lot of good games on it and def warranted in a purchase. If the NX comes with great games as well, I'm gonna buy that too.

For Zelda and Metroid yes.... Smash bros most likely. Everything else feels like it's been becoming half assed. The last couple of Mario games weren't fun and it was tedious to finish it. I found it very simple and I was bored to death at a lot of parts. I just want my fun, unique, and risk taking Mario games like Sunshine, 64, and Galaxy. I prefer each one to be different. Galaxy 2 felt unnecessary and the smaller scaled planets were rather.... limited in exploration factor and G2 was far more linear.

I just want them to be fun again and make their games have that Nintendo magic again. The new Zelda looks like it's going to do just that. I believe this is the real reason the Wii U was lackluster. Smash Bro's and Mario Kart 8 was great, Splatoon is interesting. I think Pikmin 3 was one of their best game this gen by far. That had many forms of fun. They just had less games over all and few of them had Nintendo's famous quality behind it.

Tagging for future reference.

Nope. It would suck if they can't get things figured, but ultimately Nintendo is my favorite game publisher and I play games, not console war politics. Debating about game sales and market strategy is fun, but it's not the end game (no pun intended).

Where ever I have to go to play Nintendo games is where I'd go. As long as their games are good, they have me as a customer, no questions asked.

I'll abandon Nintendo when they fail to deliver a solid amount of solid games, so basically never.

I'm guessing Nintendo will abandon you, before you abandon Nintendo if NX does as badly as Wii U. Seriously, 2 generations in a row of complete failure in hardware sales, with the handheld market a shadow of its former self pretty much spells curtains for Nintendo in hardware.

Despite me never having owned a Nintendo console (handheld or home console...well I own 10% of a 3DS, but basically never played it aside from 4 hours of OoT) and not really being interested in any of Nintendo's IP I would not want to see Nintendo exit hardware.
