Google will help you with that. There are planty of comparisons out there

It the Power Brick a petrol generator?

Perhaps they're including the % of the power station required to power the console... and your TV, because that image in OP is just not right at all, the smaller unit inside the wireframe is closer in size to the PS2slim than the Xone-S model.

Well power brick is
Your Xbox One console has an external fan-assisted power supply unit (PSU). It measures 17 x 4.8 x 7.5 cm -> 612 cm3
The Xbox One console measurements (LxWxH) are: 33.3cm x 27.4cm x 7.9cm ->  7208 cm3
The Kinect 2.0′ measurements (LxWxH) are:
24.9cm x 6.6cm x 6.7cm -> 1101 cm3

The XBox One S console is 21.75cm x 28.5cm x 6.9cm -> 4277 cm3

XBox One S is 59% of XBox One
XBox One S is 48% of XBox One plus brick plus Kinect

That image on Amazon and everywhere else suggests 40% reduction in all directions, 20cm x 16.4cm x 4.7cm -> 1542 cm3 = 21% of XBox One volume
Wii U is 26.9cm x 17.2cm x 4.6cm ->  2128 cm3. So picture suggests XBox One S is smaller than the Wii U while it is about the same size as the ps4.

aye lol, like I said above, if you see the disk drive of the S model in that picture it wouldn't be big enough to take a Gamecube disk.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

I feel like buying one and suing for false advertising. I would definitely win. People have won cases with far less.

It would turn into a class action and they'd settle, which means only the lawyers would actually win.  You might get some free games out of it, though.

Would MS count those games as shipped?

There is a very big difference between being 40% less in volume to being 40% less in each dimension, which would give you 78,4% smaller in volume... So yep I would say is quite possible X1 is indeed 40% smaller (considering kinect and power brick that would be a no brainer), but certainly that picture is completely misleading... so have MS exaggerated or is misleading us with the E3 picture?

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

And just to remember... 40% less in volume is actually 15,66% less in each of the three dimensions if we took all at the same time... so yes on a picture it would seem just like the real world photo but nothing close to the advert in the OP.

that would be so disgustingly petty.

I don't think they could include Kinect because it's still a peripheral than you can buy with the Slim. Including the kinect would suggest that kinect is inbuilt into the Slim console.

Yah, definitely misleading ahah. Marketing team in action :)

I remember when I saw that at the press conference, and it said "40% smaller" good misleading advertising there...
Also, does it only have one usb port, or are there more on the back?
