Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Misleading Xbox One Slim image on Amazon

How do we know the actual photo on bottom isn't photoshopped? I'm not trying to help them out but what is that photo from?

This is actually pretty crappy, now that I think about it.

Um, what behemoth are tgey comparing it to?

It seems like they have it 40% in each dimension rather than total volume.

Woww that's really bad, I'm sure they'll have to change it if this picks up wind.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

The 2nd image doesn't show a clear picture. Should have been taken looking down at the consoles not looking straight at the consoles.

Edit- Here are some comparisons

Still pretty clear that the actual size difference is nothing like the first picture in the OP, so it's definitely misleading.

I feel like buying one and suing for false advertising. I would definitely win. People have won cases with far less.

The problem seems to be that they're showing it as 40% smaller in each dimension (length, width, and height), when it's actually 40% smaller by volume. Microsoft actually announced that it's 40% smaller by volume, maybe the marketing team didn't get that memo

This is exactly what I was thinking too. It looks awfully close to being 40 % smaller in each dimension.

Just 40% less in volume is really little, considering the OG XBone is already a beast of a console in size. Thiis gen's consoles are huge, except for the WiiU, which sends the size excess to the controller. XD

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Even if you have a case, you won't win since they've got the best lawyers....

It would turn into a class action and they'd settle, which means only the lawyers would actually win.  You might get some free games out of it, though.
