This game is amazing. Exploring the world of Mira was one of the best experiences I´ve had in videogames.

Though I must say I still prefer the first Xenoblade. The music alone makes it better imo.

I agree that the world is gorgeous in X, but I feel there´s a lot more variety in the wii game, at least in all the different locations (in X we have 4 massive continents, but in Xenoblade wii we had so much more).

I hope Xenoblade 3 goes more into that direction, having more variety rather than focusing on 4 different types but huge.

I will say that one area in which this game's world really impresses me a lot more than Skyrim - a game I absolutely love and have spent hundreds of hours in - is the way it balances level design and world design. That is, it both constructs a natural and organic world and a world that is interesting to traverse in a number of ways, You aren't just wondering around beautiful fields, many times it's like you are exploring a massive level. In that way it kinda reminds me of Skyward Sword's overworld region things, which were just as much levels as environments and had that similar feeling to exploring vast levels. It's remarkable really, that they carried it to such an enormous scale. It's also what I am looking forward to with Breath of the Wild, which looks to achieve something similar through the integration of so many world interaction mechanics.
