Forums - Gaming Discussion - This is the reason why Xenoblade X's world is top notch

It's my number one favorite sandbox game this genre for sure

This game is gorgeous:

That's the only Wii U game which is still on my wishlist. But I won't buy it before I finished Xenoblade Chonicles.

Until then I can probably buy an upgraded NX-version of Xenoblade Chronicles X. ;)

Right ? I can't get enough with this game, even beat The Witcher 3 but it still not made me impressive like the way Xeno X did

Sylvalum is by far my most favourite areal so far with its awesome music. Too bad you can't hear the music when you fly with the Skell...

I liked the game but I think ppl got too caught up in the vastness and beauty of the world. It is a rather repetitive game, you explore a bunch of enviroments and do the exact same things 100s upon 100s of times on each one of them, not to mention the sidequests are extremely grindy and super shallow plotwise. Good game that coudl've been great with a superior quest design, better story and more variety on the activitys you partake. The world design is top notch tough, one of the best there is if not the best.

The planet Mira is one of the most engrossing and impressive game worlds I've ever encountered.

It really does feel like an uncharted alien planet rather than a video game level, and its sheer scale and completely seamless nature is hugely impressive.

XCX may have its flaws, but it's unqualified triumph in terms of bringing a virtual world to life.

I agree with better quest design, but for my part the Story/Plot  is pretty much unique and well thoughtout.

The world is beautiful, but the illusion of scale was shattered for me once I got in the Mech and realized that the world's not large so much as the player is really small. Now I can't play the game without feeling like I'm playing Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

I don't think I agree with you, the player is suposed to feel small because everything else on the world is giant, and so are the mechs.
