The other games on Wii U are nice, but not a single title I've played on the system (save Xenoblade Wii) could come close to being called an "OMG, greatest game of all time!" title.  In the past, Nintendo came out with these fairly often.  Whether it was Zelda, SMB, the 64 games or more recently SMG, Zelda:TP or even Wii Sports, Nintendo always offered cool, amazing new experiences.  Wii U has none of those.  It simply has good entries in existing series.

Zelda Breath, in contrast, blows the doors off Zelda and the rest of the industry.  It's a game-changer.  Naturally, people are very interested.

You said great looking game, Wii U have lots of them: Pikmin 3, Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Yoshi Wooly World, Xenoblade X, Splatoon (we can also say that is game changer)..

Of Course that people are interested, its Zelda, it's one of biggest game Nintendo ever made, it's looking like great GOTG material, but fact that this trailer became most viewed Nintendo trailer ever in less than week and fact that its most mentioned E3 game on internet and social media, tells us actually how much exatly buzz and interest this game made on market.

They said that they always wanted to make true open world Zelda but they didn't because of hardware limitations.

So?

Well they need good specs as Aonuma already said. Hopefully the succesor has good specs and Nintendo puts a lot of effort to use it. More BotW kind of games will be good.

Great to see so much interest in the game. It certainly deserves it.

Havent been this excited about a game in years.

Currently more than 7.3m views, thats 1m more than second most viewed Nintendo YouTube video.

Little update, Zelda BotW YouTube trailer currently has 9.2m views, while second most viewed Nintendo YouTube video has 6.3m, almost 3m less.
