I agree with that. They should just introduce a female character that has her own personality and part of the story/plot in the zelda instead of changing the sex of an established character.

I don't really mind either way, but would be neat to see Zelda as a playable character or at least a party character

I would prefer a choice between link or linkle in the beginning of the game like other RPGs do. I am not saying this because I want girls to feel more at home but rather I just want link look more tough like he did back in the NES/SNES days.
