Doubt that it's Skyloft. I'm thinking that it's either just some generic floating island or it's an airship.

THEORY: Maybe that's the mother-ship of those who developed the advanced technology seen in the game. Maybe the answer really is aliens.

I saw this! The Treehouse employees didn't want to say anything about it to GameXplain. They're saying it might be a dungeon. You sure find some good Zelda content to show!

Edit: Maybe Link will find a way to soar the skies at will? Pegasus boots that allow you to fly like Pit/Kid Icarus ? :O

It could be the first dungeon that they said takes an hour to get to. Maybe you beat 4 shrines, get the paraglider, then use it to get over there? That would probably take less than hour for someone who's watched all the footage, but it sounds about right for someone who hasn't. It's too close to the ground to be Skyloft.

To me it looks like a twilight portal like the ones that Midna and Zant's minions used to travel between the Twilight Realm and Hyrule.

If there are aliens or skylofts, there MUST BE trains of some sort, even if they are just ruins. I WANT TRAINS ON ZELDA, DAMMIT.

It looks like a bomber plane, to be honest. That would be interesting.
