I'm just saying, people hate it when EA or UJbisoft has trailers with no gameplay and are just a teaser... but when Hideo Kojima does it then it's the most hyped game of E3? 

No. I respect Hideo Kojima like everyone else, but calm yourselves, we know NOTHING about the game.

I don't think the game is hyped, I think the idea is hyped. Kojima holds more value in the market of ideas than virtually everybody at Ubi and EA combined. Now I don't really care too much about a gameplay-less trailer, but just the idea that Kojima is able to make a passion project out of the ashes of PT is enough to get me excited.

That is the reason why it is so hyped. If Ubi or EA show a non gameplay trailer we already know everything about the game because it's from Ubi and EA. With Kojima you can't be sure though.

I don't think the game is overhyped. The examples you gave are different cause it's not everyday that Kojima announces a game, while EA/Ubi announce tons of them every year.

Bolded: Actually, the most hyped thing of E3 is Zelda: Breath of the Wild (already winning awards of best game, being on top of social media charts and having those never seen before lines).

So yeah, I don't think Death Stranding is overhyped. People are just excited to have a Kojima game with cutting edge technology on top of that.

Kojima is an auteur.
As that is the case, there is a difference when he does something and when other people do something.

I think we both know we can't compare Kojima to EA or Ubisoft. We already know the trailer has a lot more depth than what a seemingly similar trailer from EA or Ubisoft would have. It probably has even more depth than much more revealing trailers from EA or Ubisoft would have.

I'm sort of hyped for it because the visuals look amazing. Didn't Kojima say it was "running in real time?"

Well, have you ever see a game similar in premise? Nope, so you can get excited. While if EA is putting a trailer for a new sport game I'm sure "no one" will be overhyped. Two scales? Nope, just different scope, expectations, etc.
