Zootopia ran for 17 weeks in the domestic box office, grossing $340,774,225.
Finding Dory has been in theaters for 2 weeks and has already grossed $380,545,558.

Zootopia grossed $176,786,320 after its 2nd week.

Finding Dory is heading towards $500-550M at the domestic box office.

I don't see a scenario where Finding Dory doesn't gross 1B world wide.

Depends how well it does in rest of the big territories where it still has to open.

Finding Nemo grossed $295M in those territories and I am expecting a similar outcome for Finding Dory.

Total as of July 4th - $550M

+ $120M from the domestic box office
+ $330M from the foreign box office (This includes around 50-60 million from the markets, that it already has opened in)

It is  going to be a slow burn to one billion since its oversease numbers are less then impressive.  If it would have been as popular in China as  Zootopia (almost $236 million) its world wide numbers already would be close to $700 million by now.

Finding Dory will not make 1bil as international market isn't picking up steam. Pixar's 'billion' luck have shifted to Disney's studios.

That's because Finding Dory hasn't released in many international territories yet.

The Secret Life of Pets will easily make more money overseas then Finding Dory did. It actually had a better opening weekend in the UK then Zootopia did. Finding Dory is seriously under performing overseas its biggest overseas market so far is China with a little over $36 million and Zootopia almost made $200 million more there.

You might be right, but WW I still think it will beat The Secret Life of Pets. :)

I really do not get what is going on with Dory overseas.
Very surprising.

It just hasn't opened in a lot of big markets yet. I am sure it will gross $500M+ overseas.

It already opened in the biggest overseas market China and it disappointed there since Zootopia almost made $200 million dollars more there and so far its been underperforming in all the overseas markets it opened so far.   I'm guessing it will make less then Finding Nemo overseas so less then $555 million and Finding Nemo didn't play in China because China wasn't the biggest overseas market back in 2003.

Every Pixar movie flop in China.

Inside Out made only $15 million in China despite a foreign gross of $500 million. The Good Dinosaur wasn't even released in China.

I'm guessing Zootopia over performed in China then, it made $235 million there.  Which is even better then Warcraft and the Warcraft the games are extremely popular in China.
