Forums - Movies & TV - Finding Dory to be yet another billion dollar film for Disney this year? 1 billion! Eat it haterz! If there were some.....

I expect this to be the movie with the highest box office of all times, 3+ Billions.

Considering it already opened in a lot of overseas markets its kinda off to a slow start there since it only made $50 million overseas so far. In the end it will still probably make over a billion world wide slightly more then Zootopia but less then Captain America: Civil War.

they are unstoppable!

Switch!!!

I hear this film is really dark. Seriously! I thought it was going to be a heartless sequel but that got my attention. Dory is basically a person with Alzheimer's and a burden. I'm gonna see it this week!

It has moments and doesn't hide the struggle Dory has with her diability.  It still has plenty of joy and laughs, but definitely parts that were quieter and darker.

I don't know if it will hit a billion, only one Pixar movie has done that so far, but I expect it to do insanely well. Just depends on how well it does over seas.

Plan on seeing it soon myself!

This will make up for Alice sequel's bomb.

It's nice to see Disney back on top, after the dismal late 90s and early 2000s, but I really don't think of Pixar as a part of Disney. Never have. Mostly because when Disney flopped, Pixar was there to pick things back up. Honestly, if it wasn't for Pixar, and Disney's acquisitions of Marvel and Lucasfilms, I wonder where Disney would be now?

Yeah, Pixar is a different kind of beast. I truly enjoy Pixar films, while I'm not a fan of Disney movies. Still, I think that most of the Disney movies were a sucess if I'm not mistaken.

I saw it this weekend. There was surprisingly a lot more adults there than kids. I think it deserves to hit the billion mark.

Well yeah, all the kids that saw Finding Nemo are grown ups now! Like me

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

To the creative comment.

Anyone see Zootopia? Disney just, more or less, knows how to make movies that audiences enjoy!

Zootopia was amazing. Easily one of the best Disney movies they recently made.

Disney has really become a creative steamroller.
