1) Why does Nintendo continue to release inferior Hardware, as compared to their competition ?

2) Why are Nintendo fans Not calling out Nintendo on their past history of low end hardware ? Past 3 generations Nintendo has had absolutely ZERO interest in releasing high end hardware.

Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2.

I think you mean last two generations.

You know, on one side, of course great graphics don't make a good game. On the othe hand, they should at least keep up so they can be in the same space as the others.

I mean when you look at the new Zelda and when you look at Horizon or any other PS4/One game. It's really laughable.

720p, no AA, empty map, ridiculous trees, muddy textures, and that framerate... it's quite baffling in 2016. I know that it's a really big open world, but man... They should have shown the NX version using a wii u pro controller or something, they should have said," we want to show it on NX, you won't see the console or the new controller " but we think it's the best way to show Zelda.

Nevertheless, they must be in the same ballpark with the NX, so they should at least have the same specs as an Xbox One, have a normal controller with triggers, a 500GB hard drive. Nothing too fancy, but something that can get the job done, something that the third parties can work with.

Care to explain.

Because software >> hardware

There are software algorithms that will bring even the mightiest of current hardware down to its knees. Conversely, there are software algorithms that are very well optimized and will run acceptably on weaker hardware because of how well the software is coded.

1.) Because that is their business model.

2.) Because Nintendo fans like Nintendo games regardless of the relative power of the hardware.

Because we care for software? Wii u being weaker than competition irks me just when thinking that I have to spend 300+ euros to buy it while it's on the market for four years/spend as much as I would spend for an xbox one...Thanks to tablet controller...

In the last 2 generation Nintendo has published great games such as Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, Metroid Prime 3, Radiant Dawn, Mario Galaxy, Endless Ocean, Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros Brawl, Punch-Out, Sports Resort, NSMB Wii, Sin & Punishment, Mario Galaxy 2, Epic Yarn, DKC Returns, Xenoblade Chronicles, Return to Dreamland, Skyward Sword, NSMBU, Pikmin 3, 3D World, Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros U, Captain Toad, Splatoon, Mario Maker, Woolly World, Xenoblade X.

I dont see how Nintendo has given fans the middle finger

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

and people, stop saying fans don't care and still buy the consoles/games.

Are we on VGchartz or what? those 3DS/WiiU sales are not great.

And when the rumors comes, eveybody Nintendo fans is like "yeah, it's going to have more power than a PS4, it's going to kick ass" and when someone say "well those Nintendo consoles have shit specs", they're like "specs don't matter". Let's be true to ourselves, specs matters, they always mattered, they mattered for the Wii and DS too, they had different specs, 2 screens with one touch screen? A motion sensored controller? All those were cutting edge.

Now again, not saying the NX should be a powerhouse like a Scorpio, that would be stupid. Nintendo needs to stay cheap, that 250$ 3DS and 350$ WiiU idea, wasn't a great one. But well it's not hard to make a 300 $ console with the same specs as a One and a nice gimmick for miyamoto and the casuals to be happy. Just don't put EVERYTHING on the gimmick like the way overpriced gamepad that was barely used, or the 3D of 3DS that was well, turned off by evrybody

So, let's do it

Out of curiosity, do you count yourself a Nintendo fan? Do you feel the company has failed you? Or are you upset on the behalf of Nintendo fans? And, if so, why?

Only the Wii was inferior in power. We don't know hat the NX will pack yet but rumors point to it being around PS4 level power. Lastly, considering Neo and Scorpio are part of PS4 and XOne families then NX doesn't have to be that powerful.
