They never had DLC before Wii U or their first party titles made by third party companies before Wii.

Not true, Nintendo have outsourced their first party franchises to third party developers as far back as the SNES.

yep, Super Mario RPG by Square, Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons & Minish Cap by Capcom, F-Zero GX by Sega, Star Fox Assault by Namco.

Interesting. Still, "never done it before" doesn't mean they won't, they just haven't done it before.

Retreating to Wii U simply won't be a viable option for them by 2018, by then the system's active userbase will be too small to sustain a profitable business. People will have moved on to other platforms.

But doing it in 2017 is still a viable option.

Even if NX is a catastrophic failure out of the gate, it's unlikely they'll give on it entirely within 9 months of release. And even if they do, what good will buying themselves a couple more months do? Wii U can't keep them afloat.

It doesn't have to. It just moves a little more software and puts a little more in Nintendo's bank.

man i hope you never get a girlfriend. looks like you are a person who can't move on when something is over and would cause her harm.

NX only, I am sure of it. The future of Nintendo is the NX. They would be foolish not to give people every reason they can to buy one.
