I find the climbing funny. Link can grab onto almost anything, even the flat surfaces like the church/temple tower, but not the smooth walls in the shrines. Still much better than I imagined, since I thought it would be limited to specially marked sections.

Spoiler alert

Ganon cutscene taking Hyrule Castle is hinted at the trailer but it is showed in the E3 floor demo. Didn't watch it, I spoiled too much of the game.

Do you have a link to that E3 floor footage?

The trailer does abruptly stop when the Castle is being engulfed by the smoke.

And a direct quote from Jose Otero from IGN:

"The size of the world map is vast, but the numerous things you can do in it are equally impressive"

And party people, we are talking about the first 1% of the map. Clearly, the game is empty ;P

Oh my god! Is that from the treehouse?

Yeah. They streamed like more than 3 hours worth of Zelda content.

I must have missed this one then.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Confirmed, BOTW will utilize what I'll call for now absolute freedom in progression, the is no set quest line or path to follow, the player is not bound by story or any item in what they do. It is as they said it's just you and the world to the point you can try and challenge the final boss of the game at the start if you wish although it would be difficult but the game is built that way.

LOZ introduced open world freedom, BOTW is introducing absolute progressive freedom, this is what Reggie meant when he said like the original game it'll change how games are approached. This type of freedom means that if someone is stuck they can simply go elsewhere or even skip the section entirely as the are no requirements to finish the game it seems.

It also means that each person's adventure in BOTW would be custom to them and some people will see events and story that others who aren't as thorough will miss.

What I liked the most is the survivor elements in this game; how you NEED to hunt to get food to replenish your health, how you'll freeze to death if you don't have the right cloths, and stuff like that. I loved that! And the stamina meter feeds into that as well, so I'm actually glad that feature returned

What I didn't like was the lack of background music, although, I'm not sure that'll be such bummer when you actually plays the game yourself; the sound of the surrounding nature might be good enough

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

This game really needed to happen. SS and TP, to a lesser extent, are good games but they didn't bring anything too groundbreaking to the franchise. Too bad I have to wait until March to play it..

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)
