It is a pity that I won't play this game anytime soon. I never buy a inferior version of a game and I won't get the NX for the time being after Nintendo screwed Wii U owners by delaying Zelda and porting it to NX. Also, it is so sad that the gamepad features were gutted from the game.

Wait what gamepad features? The only one that matters is gyro aiming and that's still an option.

Well it was originally looking like they were going the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD route with inventory and map management on the gamepad.  Those have been removed.

I gotta say though, am I the only one not loving the music? And I'm not talking about the lack of BGM, I'm talking that trailer music. It has atmosphere to it, sure, but I can't remember it 2 minutes after I watch the trailer. It felt kinda... lackluster. As did SS soundtrack, and I don't want that for a Zelda game. Zelda has alsways had memorable music, hell, OoT even had music as it's core mechanic.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Ah right, then what I said remains true. :L

They are definitely taking cues from Skyrim with regards to the big music pieces.   The trailer theme seems more intended to blend in with the rest of the environment as a part of the ambience as opposed to older Zelda games where they were more like standalone tracks that played while you were playing with clearly defined tunes and repeated segments.

Personally, I don't mind cause I am a huge fan of that kind of use of music as a means of enriching the world environment without overly asserting itself.  And that approach fits with the game world well I think, this world that is above all else promoting a sense of stillness in many environments.

And I like Skyward Sword's music too for similar reasons (and cause the sky theme is just awesome)

But for people more accustomed to or more of a fan of the older approach to game music as more of an independent, freestanding composition, I can see how this may not sit as well with them.

After seeing how many honest people have been banned from simply saying "This game didn't impress me" I can honestly say I am almost done with this website.

I love the community in general, but it is CLEARLY controlled by Nintendo fanboys. Apparently we aren't allowed to have opinions anymore, unless of course you blindly love Nintendo. It really is sad to see what VGchartz has come to, but I guess that's where we are.

Maybe I will return when this website figures out what management is...

Same, as much as I love the timeless memorable tunes of Ocarina of Time, some of my favourite games have ambient soundtracks that enhance the mood without ever drawing direct attention to themselves. Both methods can work when done right, and honestly, outside of maybe in dungeons or boss fights, I don't really think a catchy orchestral score would really fit the free-roaming approach of Breath of the Wild.

I like the music in Skyrim, but except for the intro song it's not nearly as memorable as Zelda's music. I've come to expect great music from Zelda, which is why SS music was such a let down, but hopefully we'll get some kick ass songs every now and then in BOTW as well! Maybe during boss fights or something? Or in dungeons?

So the announcement trailer looks better than the pre-alpha version well that never happened before. Look at Uncharted 4 that also turned out fine, sure it wasn't the 2014 CGI trailer level of eyecandy, although cutscenes come pretty close at some times. Anyway they have over 9 months to optimize. Besides you Ninty fanboys are going to buy an NX anyway so obviously you are going to buy the NX version which will outperform the Wii U version. It's gonna support 4k and the NX projects holograms for a convincing 3D effect.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
