Interview.
So they don't want to have RPG elements because of Mario and Luigi and they don't want new and original characters for the same reason.

Also, Koopalings? Could they get any more generic?
I hope.this game fails and the developers wake up.

Such bullshit especially considering they're making M&L more like Sticker Star. Both series are dead to me.

The Wii U should be all but forgotten once NX is revealed so there's a pretty good chance Color Trash will flop thankfully. The negative word of mouth which we can help spread should factor in aswell. This game definitely wont sell as well as Sticker Star that's for certain!

You darn atheists. If God doesn't exist, explain how Call of Duty is still relevant in 2016.

Checkmate atheists

Actually that is better as a proof that God probably don't exist! xD
Agnostic is not really the same as atheist though, I just think we are too insignificant and our lifes are too short to be questioning things we just could never know or understand. Like why CoD is still relevant.

I know, I was just in the mood to make a "checkmate atheist" joke.

Anyhow, I seriously wonder how Infinite Warfare will do. I'm hoping it sells less than 2 million and flops hard.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

As annoying as it is for the not to make a true sequel, I have to wait I have a blast playing any PM game because the uniqueness of each one makes it fresh.

The sad part is that it will still sell over 10 million, mark my words.

Going back to Colour Splash, it will be interesting to see how much of the fan outrage translated to sales.

I, for one, will only buy the game used if I buy it. As a collector I'll probably buy it, but I won't support the company for making a game that is directly ignoring hundreds of thousands of peoples' feedback. And I don't think hundreds of thousands is an exaggeration, personally.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

That's an understandable compromise. Voting with your wallet is a mantra I try to adhere to also. As a non-fan I'll admit I don't quite understand they intense hatred, but I can still relate to it; I felt similarly towards games like Starfox Adventures, Wind Waker, and Federation Force, which took franchises I loved in direction I didn't.

Fuck Nintendo. I'm so fucking sick of their shit recently and I've had enough. WHY THE FUCK DON'T THEY LISTEN TO THE FUCKING PEOPLE THAT WANT TO BUY THEIR GAMES?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I'm not saying make a remake of TTYD or the original. I'm not saying do it exactly the same. Innovate. BUT STICK TO THE FUCKING FORMULA!!! USE PARTS OF THE PAST GAMES THAT PEOPLE ENJOYED AND MAKE SOME NEW SHIT TO ACCOMPANY IT!!! No one wants this garbage that they're putting out and frankly, they better start to fucking impress really fucking soon or I may never come back. I was such a big Nintendo fanboi for the longest time. I defended the Wii U with all my heart and enjoyed the hell out of some of the games on it. But Nintendo is going insane. I went bonkers when they said they weren't having an E3 press conference. They better show something quick or my head is gonna explode.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

I mean I wouldn't even call myself a massive PM fan. I loved 64, don't like the GC as a system so I don't have the ability to play TTYD, never really started SPM, and tried SS out of morbid curiosity. SS is legitimately, unequivocally a bad game. It fails as an adventure game, it bombs as an RPG, and most importantly, it's objectively not a PM game. It uses the Paper part well, to its credit, but it'd be similar to if they took CoD, made it into a Ratchet & Clank game, and expected us to like it. And even that comparison isn't apt because CoD could still function as a TPS.

I just don't get the reasoning at all. I even said somewhere else that the Mario & Luigi argument misses the key difference between the two franchises: M&L is designed to be a game where you take Mario characters and throw them outward in a different universe of sorts, whereas PM is taking Mario and bringing it inward and expanding character types and tropes rather than extending the tropes to new original character/enemy types.

I feel like looking at some of the replies above I'm in the minority of people who thought it looked kinda fun.

So what, its not like the older games. Would I like it to be? Sure. Does the fact it's not make it a bad game? Well wait and see. I don't buy my games based of if they're like their predecessor, I buy games based on does it look fun. Pre ordered after the demonstration on day 2.

Did you miss the thread title? That's precisely the thing, Color Splash is EXACTLY like an older game, that's how we know it's a bad game.
