Up until yesterday it was planned to show RD 2 at the end of Sony's show to close. The demo for Days Gone was going to be shown after the announcement trailer was played. Days Gone gameplay demo was moved to the end to replace the RD announcement. In the RD announcement trailer there is a scene of an outlaw shooting up innocent people at a popular brothel/saloon. Due to the recent Orlando massacre it was decided that it was inappropriate to show and there was no time to edit a new trailer.

It's just a rumor for now.

i bet its fake cause with basic video editing skills alone they could of edit the scene out.

Fake rumor. I know a guy that told me at the last minute MS snapped up exclusive rights to the game.

The problem is, what if that saloon shootup was the primary scene the trailer was built around in introducing the main character? You edit it out and get an incoherent mishmash of scenes with a new Red Dead title at the end? When a game is still in development, reveal trailers are planned pretty carefully and are probably pieced together through the months prior to E3. I doubt if it was planned, that Rockstar was just conveniently sitting on a second announcement trailer labelled "just in case".

That said, it's undeniable that the Days Gone gameplay demo felt somewhat out of place. It was brought on fairly quickly, the transition into it wasn't particularly smooth, and it seemed like they had not planned for it to be there in that spot considering Days Gone had been mentioned closer to the beginning of the show. Combine that with the somewhat weird length of the show (what, about an hour and ten minutes?), and it seems obvious that something was sliced out.

You mean Red Dead 3 and it doesn't really matter at this point if it was supposed to. It'll show up sooner or later.

It won't be out till next year anyway. It has time.

The Days Gone gameplay demo way after the reveal was very strange. No clue what it was because of, but it definitely felt like it got shifted around.

they ended up making the whole of E3 inappropriate as they slaughtered their competition.

but seriously probably a good decision to not show that if it was walking into any sort of building and the days gone demo really did feel strange to end on.

well something got pulled for sure. theres no way the conference was meant to end on that trailer and that early.
