Forums - Sony Discussion - I'm overwhelmed by the huge amount of exclusives PS4 is getting.

Too many games, too little time. One thing this E3 confirmed is that the PS4 is getting more exclusive games than I could possibly imagined. The bad thing is that I don't have enough spare time to play them all (and let's not talking about 3rd party games). We have: - God of War; - Horizon; - Days Gone; - The Last Guardian; - Detroit; - Crash 1,2 and 3 remake; - Death Stranding; - Spider-Man; - Gravity Rush 2; - Ni no Kuni 2; - FFVII Remake; - Shenmue 3; - Star Ocean 4; - No Man's Sky; - Dreams; - Gran Turismo Sport; - Dragon Quest XI; - Ni oh; - Kingdom Hearts 2.8; - Ace Combat 7; - Let it Die; - Yakuza 6; and many many more (I'm definitely forgetting something). Plus 50 launch games for PS VR this october (don't know how many exclusives though)! Greatness awaits indeed.

Sorry for the format, I'm using a proxy to use Vgchartz and it seems it doesn't allow me to write threads in a clean, organized way.

The amount of Japanese games you're forgetting is actually staggering lol

Just this year there's World of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest Builders, Exist Archive and a bunch of others. It is overwhelming. I'll definitely have to chose which ones to play because I just won't have time for everything I want.

Yep, I knew I was forgetting a lot of japanese games! But with all the E3 news and the games I have to remember to buy I'm always losing something along the way... (and Dragon Quest Builders already came out here in Japan, so I don't count it :p)

the amount of exclusives isn't as important as the amount of good games. But yes the PS4 is doing very well.

It is definitly reaching the point where there is just to much content, but that is a great thing.

I think Sony needs to really start leveraging it's PS Now platform in the near future. I think that having PS4 titles come to it in a similar fashion to Netflix would be a huge help to the indursty. They should do a trade in deal for PS4 when Neo launchs, and use all of the old PS4's to help build up the cloud. I know that's not ideal, but it could be a work around for now to start the building phase.

At this point I only have so much time and money, but I don't want to miss out on things. So if they could stream games at 720p/30fps for $19.99 a month, that would be great. I would still buy the big budget games I like, but I would just stream the smaller titles, or ones that don't catch my interest. This is exactly like I do right now with movies/tv. I purchase the movies and TV I really like, or want to see at its best, and I stream others as they become available on PS Vue.

This would undoubtably create an lower price entry point, and create an even bigger pool of people to play with. That means more money for devs/pubs and more games for everyone, and that is winning all around.

When Sony is winning generations it's only naturally that they have an abnormally large exclusives collection. Sony makes the most deals with third and second party and have world class first party. This is something that's been noted for twenty years now. It's why they have the greatness awaits motto. They might not have the games at first but eventually it will become overwhelming.

The console without games beyond Uncharted 4... xD MY WALLET!!

In Sony We Trust!

It is great every E3 :).

But development still happens and games still get pushed back. So you will have plenty of time to play the games.

Example being Spiderman is a working title right now so late 2017 at the earliest. They might push back God of War to be the big holiday title as well.

Im overwhelmed too. Im not sure but does the ps4 have more exclusives than the wii u?
