Forums - PC Discussion - Titanfall 2 cross plat multiplayer?

I preordered TF2 on PC instead of my x1 due my vid card being 3-5x more powerful. but now im worried about finding players for multiplayer.  I read that the PC version only sold 2million in TF1.

Should i cancel the preorder and just order the x1 version and just take a hit in graphics and fps?  :*(

Maybe, the first one died pretty quickly on PC so the console version might be better in terms of longevity in this case.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

i was hoping for cross platform multiplayer with xbox 1 and pc and ps4 in 1 server. I guess thats not for a while?

I doubt PC - console cross-play will ever happen in Shooters due to the huge advantage mouse and keyboard has over controllers in Shooters. It would be an extremely awful experience for console players.

funny thing is I play on my PC with my xbox 1 controller limited edition Titan fall controller. Witcher 3 and tomb raider etc... I dont like playing with mouse and keyboard.

anyways just canceled Honor and TF2 for PC and ordered them on X1.

amazon still has the 20% discount today thank god.

I think MS is quite keen on cross platform for PC and Xb one, so I think they may well make it happen. It's been talked about at least by both Sony and MS, and has been implemented with a limited number of games so far. In terms of publisher interest they are motivated to ensure a game has longevity in multiplayer, and the best way to ensure the multiplayer doesn't die is to have all players in one MP environment.

With FPS in particular it's problematic with having controllers vs KB+M, but if the matchmaking can know what form of UI is being used then it can try to balance the number of players per match using each of the different UIs to ensure balance.

yes that would be nice. the KB M people will kill the controller people so it is needed.

I know you can use mouse and keyboard in game on Ps4, at least.

Be nice for a cross platform play between X1 and PS4. Highly daubt PC due to the control advantage.

Hopefully, it's cross platform between all. They should give you the option to choose whether or not your want it. And if they do MMR correctly, you should play a good match regardless of the difference between M+K and controller!

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.
