Well technically both Microsoft and Nintendo lost E3.
The best part of E3 are the new announcements.
Nintendo had 0 and Microsoft had new announcements but not 1 was a wow announcement.

The objective measure would be how each of them did coming out of E3.

1 Sony, in my opinion, solidified their position at the top and maybe even gained ground in terms of console sales.

2 Microsoft is trying to move software on W10. E3 probably helped with that. XO Slim is a nice piece of hardware and might move some units but Scorpio might counteract that for now. "Wait and see". I don't think their software alone will do much head to head against the PS4.

3 Nintendo absolutely sold Zelda and Pokemon to existing Wii U and 3DS owners--which, let's be honest, was going to happen anyway. They may have sold a few pieces of new hardware to new owners but I doubt it will be a significant amount. This entire thing was "let's give Nintendo fans something big to think about until NX arrives." In that, they likely succeeded, at least for now. It was a strong diversion. In the meantime, they probably got people who have decided to skip the Wii U thinking that it might be worth grabbing an NX.

Seriously, this certainly wasn't a great situation for Nintendo but they might have made the best of it.

Regardless of whether they won or lost, I would say this still managed to be a better E3 for Nintendo than E3 2015...

Have a nice day...

As usual Nintendo wasn't really trying to WIN E3. They are more like just keeping the back burners on warm working on a new system.

E3 lost E3 lol, it's going back into the shitters again for the most part, Nintendo doesn't give a rat's ass about it, Sony is pulling away to do their own thing too. It's gonna be more like the MS show in the future at this point.

They always deliver quality wise. Not so much in quantity lately i'll give you that.

They can always sell a bunch of buildings before going that route!

They can actually not, they are tiny in comparison to some other console manufacturer But I guess they can always base their financial hits on big titles like a new Star Fox, mobile social app and who knows, maybe if they want the true critical and financiall success a new Mario Party title

Of course they can. Those games will be overhyped exclusives like everything the other bigger console manufacturer do.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Sure they lost E3... and that matters because?

Saying who won and lost E3 is fun and all, but it's not really that important. If Nintendo reveals NX next month, with all media attention on them, and it's awesome, did it really matter that they didn't show it at E3?

Nintendo E3 isnt over yet so hopefully we see some other things. But yes we all knew it would be bad since it focused on one game BUT the way they showcased it was great AND the game looks godly.

Anyone who has actually followed what was going on over the last year clearly knew Nintendo wasnt at E3 this year to "win it". Not sure why this is even a topic.

Nintendo delivered what they promised, and even more so. In fact, this years E3 for Nintendo was a lot better than last year that was full of dissapointment. Sony delivered, not as good as last year but they did deliver. Microsoft did better than last year. Pretty sure everyone is under the circumstances pleased with what was offered.

The wait mode option for FFXV won E3.

And yes I've seen that snappy Neogaf remark. >_<
