Ok, I see. I never saw that as a factor since I haven´t experienced that as the focus of the games, but then again I have only played through Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past :).

I think it could have been a smart move to make the wii u version female and the nx version male, from a bussines standpoint
Meh, I'm not really bothered by this. People got their hearts set on something that was never even hinted at by Nintendo. I think fem-Link is incredibly lazy. I want Zelda to be playable in future games but just swapping her role with Link's is still lazy. I'm content to wait for Nintendo to come up with something much more clever.
Yeah, we should totally have a female Kratos and female Master Chief too, and why is there no option to play female Nathan Drake? I wonder why amirite? /mindblown
that should do Female Link with her having to save Hyrule and the Prince Of Hyrule,Male Zelda
