Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Link will remain a male.No gender option

I'm fine with this. I love being able to choose the race, sex, and physical characteristics of characters in RPGs, but in Zelda it doesn't make much sense. Link is the hero of the series and has been for three decades.

That said, I'd love a spinoff game with Zelda as the heroine.

At least let him grow a beard or make some makeshift weights from boulders in the forest to get shredded. lol But seriously, Link looks girlier every game.

But, but, but.... Emily Rogers said. LMFAO!!!

Now that they mentioned the balance of the triforce: why not create a Zelda game in which players can choose their path (play as Link, Ganon or Zelda) and make 3 games out of it that are all about the same story from different perspectives.

So it's one win for team #TheLegendOfZeldaIsASausageFest. Take that emily. /s

I think Sterling kinda blows this out of proportions but I do agree that not using Zelda as the main character because then Link would be without a job is a bit silly. Surely he can go play with sticks or something while Zelda has some fun?
