Those of you saying is a bad move are likely those of you that don't own an Xbox. It's a great move that opens up the platform to be all windows devices. You're a PC gamer, cool buy these Xbox games. No PC, cool buy an Xbox and play on TV. It's a smart move that makes the Xbox platform more desirable to game devs as well as consumers.

I think a lot of the people who are saying it is a bad move are also people who believe that anyone who plays games plays them on any and all available outlets.  That alone simply isn't true and is reinforced by MS's decision to do the platform (W10 and Xbox) exclusive thing as opposed to the single console only exclusive thing.  MS will lose like 0.01% ish of their console sales because of this, but come out ahead when they gain much more than that in revenue from PC gamers buying up the games they weren't willing to buy a console for.

soooo many awesome and beautiful AAA-games on PlayStation 4 in future. This E3 is so fantastic !!!!

I think if anything Microsoft showed yesterday, and if we want to look back even a little further Sony showed with SFV, that console makers do not consider PC to be a competitor and thus don't see it the same way we board-trollers do.

If that was the case Sony would be releasing their games to PC but they don't. They most likely negotiated a lower price for SFV by allowing them to release it on PC.

Went with the middle option.

Technically there are no "exclusives" since the games are on more than one platform.

It doesn't really matter to me though since how god awful the windows 10 store is.

When they actually get the windows 10 store to work at least as well as steam - I will be selling my xbox one.

I don't get it what does the store have to do with the actual game. All the store does is let you buy the game and download it right? After that you don't even use it I would think.

Or Sony doesn't see the value in releasing every game on a platform that they don't own (like MS do with W10) and thus don't get the same cut from.  Either way it is pretty clear to me, and even a few others here, that console devs do not see PC gaming as a direct competitor.

There are over 100 million PC's out there with Windows 10 in them.
Combine that with the current Xbox One userbase and Microsoft now has a 120 million userbase that they can profit off of with their first party games.

So sure, you can say maybe they don't have any "true" exclusives on the Xbox One anymore, but either way they're getting your money, and any Xbox One sales that they lose from this decision they will more than likely make up twice as many in PC sales of first party games to make up for it.

I really wish they hadn't put all first party games on PC though. I have said plenty of times before on this site that I was considering buying an Xbox One in the future because a lot of the exclusives look really great such as Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Rare Replay, Recore, Sea of Thieves, etc. So sure, it saves me money on not having to buy a console, but i'm just saying I would have willingly bought one for these games anyway so they already lost a sale from me.

I guess you can say they are console exclusive still though. Honestly we'll just have to wait and see whether this plan works out for Microsoft in the end or not.

I can see maybe if it doesn't work out they'll go back to keeping things fully exclusive on whatever the next Xbox may be and have maybe only a few not as big exclusives make their way to Windows 10.

They don't have exclusives because they want this "Play Everywhere" thing. I don't understand, Why in the hell someone with a PC or Laptop good enought to play Xbox games would purchase a Xbox now that their games are coming to PC ?.

This move will benefit more the PC Gamers than the people with a Xbox One who can play the games on a good computer.

I'm not talking about games they don't own I'm talking about games they do own. If what you said is true they would be releasing all of the God of war games, Last of us , Uncharted series, etc. All of those are owned by Sony they would get a huge cut from that espicially because Steam would most likely give them a nice deal for releasing all that on their platform exclusively.

The only thing that is clear to me is that MS is taking a different approach to gaming. What exactly they are doing I have no idea but it's not the same idea Sony has in mind that much is clear. You mentioned one game that Sony released on PC and then want to pretend it's the same thing MS is doing it's not. It was clear they did it to get a better deal on SFV being exclusive.

It's funny some are saying that MS are killing X1 sales by putting it on Windows 10(along with the Scorpio announcement) but Amazon is telling a VERY different story.
