This one was a real surprise..showing the finger to Konami :)

No. It's really not. It's been in development since 2012. Much like RE4 it was rehashed a few times, this is true. But people played Project Kitchen last year. So we know it was shown off last year as a secret. The game is way too polished to have only been in development for 1-2 years on a new engine. I don't think that's even technically possible. In addition to that. The game lines up with the rumored leaks in 2014.

- The game was unrecognisable to fast
- Would contain paranormal aspects
- Reinvent the franchise
- Contain a female main protagonist (I haven't played yet, so I can't confirm this. Though the hands/arms in the trailer appear to be female, not male)
- Capcom played with the idea of "no guns". There is an aim assist option in the game. So there seems to be segments of guns and no guns

I'm about to play it now. I made an article last year that mentioned some of this. So I could link that to you. Not everything I've posted ended up to be true. As for my story aspects. I've noticed something, but I want to play the demo before I make a "claim" on that. I know where to check.

At least, capcom sticks to the idea and doesn't abort the project like Konami did.

Where is the demo? I can't find it

After playing the demo, I don't think they should have numbered it. It feels like a spin off. It was as if they played Amnesia, Outlast or the PT demo and just copied and pasted their ideas poorly. The atmosphere was nowhere as close to being as intense as Outlast or PT, and the jump scares just didn't make sense. When there were scary noises in Outlast you would look up and see some scary naked guy staring at you through bars from the distance. In this a bunch of cans will fall over in the same room as you, or a doll will fall off the shelf in front of you for no logical reason. It was just, well... dumb. Also they made the mistake of making the characters insufferable, so I couldn't wait for them to die. Shouldn't they have characters that I actually care about and not want dead? :/

I'm definitely in the camp of Resident Evil being dead. Capcom really doesn't know what they are doing.

Great direction they took. I don't like the other modern Resident Evil games, but this looks good.

It is a first person game now like PT?

In your head.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Seems like it.Though Im almost certain that there is combat. This demo is more likely just to set the mood, to show that its back to its roots.

They ruined Resident Evil. Why did you have to listen to the stupid critics Capcom?

I can't wait to see this game flop.

Long live RE!

I am beginning to realize how divisive this community is when it comes to games. Which is natural I guess. but what I'm really talking about is how resistant a lot here seem to be towards anything different.

It's almost as if some people just want the same games made every single year with a new number on its back, then again I guess the same can be said about people like me who wants something different all the time. (it's why the only dark souls game I played was Demon Souls and Dark souls 1 bloodborne couldn't come soon enough)
