Wait... What??? Biohazard is RE7, right? Is it a VR thing only?

Its not a VR game. You can use the PSVR if you want, but its only optional.

If its playable from start to finish in psvr like they say then we have our first proper "vr game" and not some "experience/demo"

However i am slightly concerned because it looks kinda..."small" i dunno it just doesnt seem like a AAA resident evil game to me. it kinda looks like a indie game but idk we'll see i guess. its also releasing in Jan 2017 witch seems wayy to fast.

I'm not getting this, if the first person view is forced. That's not how I want to play a RE game.

This is nothing like the original Resident Evil

Where is the cheesy dialogue, the thrilling action, the managment resource? All I see from this trailer is a carbon copy of PT.

A walking simulator mixed with a horror setting, the worst possible kind of game.

I spit on this.

I'm surprised there are some negative responses for RE7. I figured this would be something older RE fans would really enjoy.

Oh yeah, most likely.I just meant that you dont need to have the VR equipment to be able to play it.

And no, for me it feels like an AAA game.I think you got the impression that the game will be only on that house, or something of the like, but I think its going to be in a whole village.Imagine RE 4 village section and you got the idea of it.And its very likely it will expand to other parts, like a lab, maybe a castle, or something else.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Its definetly what it loked liked from the clip, there's no way they are keeping the loreafter making that many changes to gameplay and stuff.

So RE 4 was a totally new universe right?Becuase it is a different game than the predecessors right?.....

Ugh

RE 4 was very simila to RE, you know 3rd person, with action and cheesy dialogue and stuff. This one looks like Outlast, they need to change the tone completly if they want to keep the lore OK but REs lore is goofy by nature it'll be quite hard to keep it and still make this Outlast clone they want to make.

Why would the old fans be positive about a game that is not on 3rd person, does not seen to include the classic characters and looks and plays nothing liek the RE of old ?

Nvm i just finished the demo. Im a believer. If this is the direction the series is going then im happy. Hopefully we can get a 10+ hour campaign like this.

RE lore is cheesy, not goofy. There is a big difference. And this trailer, as I have been saying to people left and right, is that this trailer was made to show the atmosphere. It was not preocuppied in showing the combat, or the connection to the overall universe. You can actually, if you pay attention, notice something that is as classic as RE can have:item management, item based puzzles(that you need to use items to progress), and a more hands off approach to the game.I will say that by the next trailer they release, which my guess would be happening at gamescon, is when we will see gameplay and when we will see a more "RE feel" to it.

Edit:If you go to the menu where the item management is, you can see something that assembles as hotkeys.Probably items that you can assemble to the directional pad.And items for puzzles wouldnt make sense, so its most likely for weapons.

The only thing that felt even remotely like RE on the demo was the item management. I did notice the hotkey and I hope to god we can use weapons and defend ourselves and Capcom isn't just making another walk around and get scared game that has become the trend nowadays.
