A good ammount of new IPs, a bunch of gameplay trailers, back to back games with no filler and absolutely NO CRINGE moments.

Not for me! I cringed at the cheap Naughty Dog knock offs in God of War and Last of Us stripped down version, I cringed at whatever the heck Last Guardian Resident Evil 7 and Kojima's naked man game are supposed to be, and of course I cringed at Crash. No doubt Sony's presentation format was great, but they really need to step it up with the actual content shown. They'll win this E3 but only because they were the least bad.

How is it cringeworthy? Emotions aren't limited to Naughty Dog, God of War having emotional moments may be kinda new to the series (though God of War 2 and Ghost of Sparta did have some) but not to gaming and having a younger partner is not a trademark Naughty Dog thing. God of War isn't about apocalypse it is about a lively world in a cold setting with mythological creatures and Gods and there is huge difference in hack and slash and third person shooter gameplay that make it very different to The Last of Us.

Plus we don't even know how the story will progress in God of War, it will probably be very different than The Last of Us. Also RPG elements not present in The Last of Us.

I'd probably rate their conference a C+, maybe B-. Too many games with no clue as to there release date. I read on GAF that Days Gone probably won't arrive until 2018 at the earliest. lol, wtf? I rated MS a B+ in another thread.

I do gotta say though, that orchestra at the Sony presser was awesome. And whoever was running the mic for them, idk his name, he's great. Much better than anyone else Sony or MS has, except Papa Phil.

It was probably the least interesting E3 conference I've seen from anyone in recent history. Bethesda's, Ubisoft's and even EAs were masterpieces compared to this one, and they were lame. Not one single game I want to play after seeing it. Almost nothing new announced, just mostly updates on stuff we already knew. I'm honestly baffled at how people are just jumping and cheering for it. It honestly is hard to believe that opinions on something can be so polar opposite. I've been waiting years for them to give me a reason to get a PS4 since it launched, but it just hasn't happened yet. Maybe next year, possibly.

To be honest, I think it's safe to say at this point that if Sony hasn't captured your interest after this E3, or even during the 3 years since launch then your interests lie elsewhere and there's nothing they could do to make you happy.

Lol "Not one single game I want to play after seeing it. Almost nothing new announced, just mostly updates on stuff we already knew." they announced God of War, Spiderman, Days Gone, Kojima's game, and Resident Evil 7, they already have Gran Turismo, Ni-oh, The Last Guardian, Uncharted 4, that already launched or will launch this year, if we count games that will be avaliable for PC (like all Microsoft games) they still launched Street Fighter V, will launch No Man's Sky, and I think that Resident Evil umbrella will launch this year.

To be short, Sony already had more games coming out this year than Microsoft, they could have should all the games they will release this year instead of showing new games but they have both.

People are making a fuzz about  the release dates like all the games had a 2018 or beyond release date, The only game i can see releasing after 2018 is the Kojima's game, Sony Bend already was working in a project for some time, a Spiderman game will not take  too much time of development so it will probably come out next year, God of War 4 was  announced that was in development since 2014 so they are probably working on the game even before that.

I think that isn't fair with Sony  having more games confirmed coming 100% exclusive for the PS4 this year(already confirmed before the E3), than Xbox One games launching after Microsoft's E3(Which every game will be avaliable on the PC), being bashed for showing their future projects, they still have 3-4 Conferences this year where they will announce more things about the games, and probably even more games.

Ok...
First up before anyone gets it wrong: Sony rocked! They had a really good presentation!
BUT:

I dont like the whole "Company X totally won E3!"-stuff.
No I'm not one of these "Gamer's won/Everyone Won/Nobody Won" Guys.

Its just... saying one guy wins, to me always sounds like: "all the other guys fucked up completly and were 100% shit"
Which, I think we all agree on that, wasn't the case this year. At all.

Lets break it down:

Microsoft: Solid showing, same good Phil Spencer format as the last two years, no big surprises but a truckload of games and new gameplay material for some highly anticipated ones like ReCore, Gears 4 and Sea of Thieves. Add to that Xbox One S, Scorpio Teaser and the Crossplatfom Initiative and you get a damn solid E3-Conference. I admit, they had some hiccups, especially the Minecraft Segment comes too mind, but in general it was a really good showing.

Sony: They really blew it out of the water this time! Not only did they have a whole lot of awesome content and nice surprises, they finally opted to change the horribly boring format they used over the last years to a much faster one, just like Microsoft and Nintendo did over the last years! The only "negative part" if I can even call it that would be that the games looked too perfect: Even with the ones that showed gameplay, it just looked too good, you just know its all been scripted and optimized like hell, and the finished product will never run quite as perfect as that when you finally play it.

Nintendo: Damn that Zelda Game looks way too awesome! After all the delays and excuses I had pretty high expectations but somehow they still managed to top those. Yes, apart from Zelda there wasnt much there, but they told us so weeks ago, so we can hardly critizise them for that one again. Also they gave us like 5+ hours of Zelda gameplay, so I dont really care!

For me, Zelda is without doubt the Game of the Show, The best overall Presentation belongs too Sony. As Awesome as Zelda is, its only one game, sorry Nintendo, you should have brought NX if you wanted more!
Again, I liked Microsofts Conference as well, it just lacked the "oomph" that sony and zelda brought!

The new guy.

Sorry for possible mistakes, not a native speaker!

They won, but not by much. The press conference was too short, shorter than Microsoft's.

MS could have cut out 2/3 of their show and it would have been better. Length isn't everything.

Mine craft? Cut

Controllers? Cut

Card game? Cut

Sea of thieves? Cut

Instantly better ms conference

Scorpio was completely useless being it's a year and some months

Come on ... What should of been cut was the FF15 and BF1 demo and trailers. Instead a 3rd party preview showcase trailler would of been more effective.

Just like I locked every other thread like this, I'm locking yours.

Think beyond silly console wars. Nobody "won" E3. Every company had good, successful shows.
