Forums - Gaming Discussion - What was the last game you played that (at least for you) deserved a "Perfect 10" score?

Mine was:

As someone who started playing in the 80's, it is so difficult to find a game that is hard as the ones from yesteryear without being totally unfair or cheap.

Man, the design in Super Meat Boy is absurdly good - driven close to perfection one could say -, music is superb, humor is great and the challenge is just about right. I don't remember playing a game this good in the recent time.

How about you? What was the last game that, at least for you, deserves a "Perfect 10" score? As you can see, it doesn't need to be a new release or recent game. Please share with us.

Been a long time since I played a game I'd consider "10/10" good, so I'll say Skyward Sword.

The Last Of Us.

You know there were stability issues to keep it from 10/10, but in terms of fun and the number of hours I experienced, Fallout 4 was close.

Otherwise... 3D Super Mario World came very close. Trying to think of some others this gen; I'd say Rayman on the Wii U would be VERY hard to improve upon.

This is proving more difficult than I thought it would lol... I'm not sure there's a 10/10 this gen yet.

Overwatch for me

There's no 'perfect 10'. There's just games with more or less flaws. Some may be a whole 1 point away from 10, some 0.1, some 0.001, but they're all below 10. Now there's probably a 10 somewhere out there, but it's due to rounding error and not perfection.

Not sure which game would be one for me personally. Maybe Grim Dawn, I suppose? But the one before that... Now that's probably a good while!

EDIT: Actually forget that. I don't think any game has reached 10.0 for me. 10 (an integer) sure, but not 10.0 (a decimal number with one decimal digit).

Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii / Dolphin.

Deserving a perfect 10 score doesn't mean it's a game without any flaws.

I'm not sure. I take 10/10 not as perfect, but as a timeless and truly enjoyable game; using that criteria I can think of The Talos Principle and Bloodborne. Valkyria Chronicles, which is currently the game I'm playing, might become one, although it has some flaws that might prevent it so.

I know, that's what I just said. But it was called 'perfect 10' so I responded to that. I don't think it should be called 'perfect' if the game itself is not perfect.
