Forums - General Discussion - Florida Pulse gay club attacked.

Minute I saw shooting, I knew it was going to be a Muslim. I rarely see shootings from non muslims reach huge headlines :/ You know what though? It's annoying how this is suddenly every muslim's fault, but when a christian goes ape shit and shoots people, there's always an excuse. He was young, got bullied, etc etc. Can we admit both groups are crazy? Also, seeing this makes me realize why we can't be super open with guns. We need some sort of restriction. It's unforunate, but that's life.

Guess I'll have fun with more random "security" checks from here on out. I'm predicting 7 breaking news terror attacks from now to the end of the month. I'm also predicting around 15 breaking news terror attacks from now to the elections for the US.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Do you get searched upon entering Chicago???? Not being allowed to own guns in Chicago is irrelevant when you can get them elsewhere in the states. Until the whole Country is a gun free zone gun crime won't stop. A "gun free" zone is irrelevant when you can just grab a fire arm outside that zone and bring it in.

You can't just drive to another state, buy a weapon, and drive back to your state like everything is fine and dandy.

If you go out of state and purchase a gun at a gun shop, that gun will have to get shipped to a FFL (Federal Firearm License) holder in your state. After a few days the license holder in your state will have the gun. You pay a small fee, get your backround checked and you're ready to own your gun.

Just like the war on drugs made the USA a drug free zone right

Just going to leave this here.

I hope people realize that doing nothing isn't working...

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

How often and to what extent do Christians kill people because of their religious beliefs and get away with it?  There are plenty of fundamentalist Christians who don't like gay people, but I can't think of one in recent ages that has gone and killed them at this scale or in this manner? The recent abortion clinic shooting was by a christian man, and the media (and president) rightly outed him as such.

I don't think anybody is addressing all Muslims either, but it is obvious that like Christianity, there is a ton of hateful stuff taught and spread (and not only to the "extremists") - and just as we oppose Christianity's spread of hate we should also oppose Islam's spread of hate, we all live in secular societies afterall.

This is the worst mass shooting in the US history? 50 people dead goddamn

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I find it strange that both shootings occurred in Orlando. Could be a coincidence, but they could have been related. Maybe the first shooting was supposed to be a mass shooting too, but got interrupted by Christina's brother tackling the gunman.

It's not strange, just statistics. There are so many shootings in the US every week, it's bound to happen in the same city in the same week. It probably happens even more frequently because shootings aren't even widely reported anymore. Something that happens every day is just not newsworthy.

Americans can defend their gun culture all day long. Their main argument is that it would not help. But would it do any harm to have at least basic common sense laws like background checks and bans on guns in certain public places? But instead some states are even loosening their gun safety laws because more guns is always better than less guns amiright? The joke is that the vast majority of the population including gun owners are for stricter gun laws. But the gun lobby is too strong and politicians just love to pander to radical minorities.

Guns are not the main reason for these disasters. They're just the symptom of a broken political system rife with corruption, a broken partisan judicial system and the indoctrination of their youth with nationalism, religion and radical ideologies so that it will never have a chance to change.

The bolded already exist nationwide, there is a lot of misinformation that is spread about what American gun laws do or do not exist. When there are 320+ million guns having more guns in the right hands is the only solution to protect law-abiding people. As has been said, by practically every American who has posted in this thread, gun crime is limited to certain areas of cities where drug activity is rampant. The majority of homicides are between these criminals, as unfortunate as that is. You can't put a dent in the gun supply of criminals.

Terrorism is a separate issue, that all countries, regardless of their gun control policies have issues with.

What do you mean rarely? White people just as well make headlines and its ridiculous to think something such as horrific as this wouldn't. Also why do people even try to compare the States with Nordic country. Their population is smaller than most of our States. A lot of our crime has to do with poverty and we have a bigger poverty problem than Nordic countries. Also this is confirmed to be a radical islamic attack inspired by ISIS is still in question.

As for gun control, guns will NEVER be banned. More control maybe but bad people will always get guns regardless, they have no care for the rule of law. If they are willing to kill, they are will to steal or obtain guns illegally. There are people who buy guns for their own defense because of their past horrible experiences. They want security and do so by buying guns. Maybe some form of gun control but there is already millions of guns out there in the wild but bannning guns is not realistic.

What the hell? How often do you see devote christians commit terrorist attacks?

And who said it was "every muslim's" fault?

So fucking dishonest.

Just another reason we need to close the borders and stop all immigration to the West.
