It is more likely that Trump starts a world war 3. But i'm not sure the world would be with him.

The USA's influence has been growing weaker for quite some time.  For example, look at the mess that the USA has made in the middle east resulting in ISIS and the overthrow of many stable governments, that is definitely not the sign of a strong global power.  I think that it's time for the US to stop trying to be the world's police until they can get some of their own internal issues sorted out.  That's going to mean letting other countries fill the vacuum left behind by the US, but is that a bad thing?  I certainly don't think that it is something worth risking a nuclear war over.  

There is a big misconception in America where a lot of people think Canada is this liberal utopia and - in case of an annexation - all provinces would become blue states. Vast majority would probably be red. Let me remind you uber conservative Harper was PM for 10 years.

There is a good chance the US is getting the fuck out of NATO, which would pretty much spell the end of NATO. I think the only way we stay there is if countries start paying the US directly, or if the 23 countries - Canada included - who are not putting in what they are supposed to put in start paying their fare share.

By American standards, Harper was center right. Yes he was conservative but he's very far from Trump in his views and even then a lot of people liked to demonize him so I'm pretty sure Canadians would never vote for Trump.

Fair enough. It does look like there are many issues to solve.

But the damage is already done. Leaving like your hands are clean without making reparations is not exactly winning any points.

America invading Canada would immediately open the door to any other willing super power, to invade their neighboring countries without scrutiny. This would piss the rest of the world off to no end.

If America ever did really want to push further north, they had better be 100% sure they could do it, because if they failed, I'm sure the Queen would be more than happy to annex a portion of America, and the world would let her do it after a stunt like that.
