Class isn't real.
That's a giant bunch of BS. Life isn't just about making smart choices. Some people can make choices, some are denied of making them, let alone thinking about it.

And i know many people dont even have a choice and that saddens me a lot, sadly i am not rich myself so i cant help them :(

There's a difference between your economical and true class (based on your earnings) and your social class or who you associate yourself with. |
Maybe, but at least in the UK, people tend to consider themselves whatever class they associate themselves with, rather than anything economical.
A blue collar worker, working their way up to the top. Would usually still view themselves as working class. Just as many weather upper class people can be bankrupted, and will still be upper class. Id say the social class is the key one, rather than economical so I wouldn't say economical is the true class, your social attitudes are.
Yes that is middle class in my eyes. It is well above the median income for an individual worker in the U.S. What others have said is true though, if you are making that much in NYC or LA you will have to be quite frugal to live well. While if you make that much in a medium sized city, low cost suburban area, or rural area you'd live quite well. $50,000 /year in my city (Pittsburgh) can go a long way. The lines between classes have blurred though, and social class based on wealth was never really a thing in the U.S besides a few regional cases in certain time periods.
Would be interesting what costs do you have monthly.
I'm around 34,000€ and still not at the limit that's possible for me. I try to go for 50,000€ -60,000€, but it's still a long way. Maybe in the next 5 years?
Monthly costs for everything are around 800€.

I make 43k before taxes and no over time. where I live middle class is from 51k-150k. So Guess I am not. But with Overtime factored in I make 55-60k a year and I am middle class.

Social class is very important to a person, so of course people will try to or remain with the social group they were with before or pretend to have changed lanes. But frankly, I think that people who think they're in a different class (economically speaking) then they actually are lack class conscience.

Pretty cool link!
From the few test cases I tried, it seems intuitively right .
I want to add a little something. I got married back in April and I checked my credit score about a week ago. My credit is awesome! Good credit, a new wife, and extra money, I decided to move to a better neighborhood.
My wife and I spent a few days looking at houses and those people who appeared to be doing so much better than we were are actually doing pretty badly. We're still looking and I'm wondering if we should move at all. The point of this post: if you're content and not struggling, be happy. You're probably doing better than the people you envy.
