Class is more to do with attitude than earnings.

We have footballers who earn more a week then upper class people earn in a few months.

However if they still have the working class attitudes, they are still working class, they just have money.

You are however you feel you most fit in with.

According to Wikipedia, the average income in my area for Family is about 20k a year. I made 70k+ last year and already at 40k+ this year. Anywhere else, I'd be struggling but, in my area, I'm a homeowner, land owner, have no debts besides a mortgage, and have thousands left over at the end of the month.

It all depends on the cost of living in your area.

Bring your $50,000 a year down here to Jacksonville and you'd be comfortably middle class.

Really depends on where in the country you live as the taxes and other costs of living can be pretty crazy.

Class isnt real,
Here in Europe i earn around 25k a year( euro)
Now in Europe (holland) thats not a lot,but its also  not being poor,(middel class is 30-40k)and i actually earn the least of all my friends,yet i made the. Right decisions, and iam a king with money,

Saved up a lot and when i bought my house paid a lot of the already small morgage i had.

Now most renting homes here are about 600+ euros a month.

I pay 316.

All in all my bills are extremely low,and i have about a thousand euros over every month to do awesome stuff with,a lot more then my friends can use.

So lesson learned from this?
Doesn matter what you earn, be smart with it.

I make >$24000 a year, living in Costa Rica... I am just middle class here. 50K you would be high middle class here.
