I had no clue the game was so popular there!! Did the previous games do so well? Uncharted was the first game I ever bought when I got a PS3 and I have fell in love with the series.. but I (maybe ignorantly) assumed it was only so beloved in the West? I know it's not a million but over 100k just caught me off guard. I guess ignorance is bliss. Silly me haha

I see what you're saying.. but there is a (slightly high) demand for Japanese games in America.. Not usually much of a demand for American made games in Japan.. (except apparently Uncharted 4) lol

Actually this was very much expected based off of the previous games sales. The Last of Us preformed alot better even.

Western games are doing quite well on the PS4 in Japan.

Very untrue and just a generalization that never really matched with reality. Japanese have a wide array of taste in games. See GTA games.

Because Japan thought it was a One Piece game.
