I don't think this really makes sense. Certainly it's possible. But the people that remember and want crash are too old a demographic to go out and buy skylanders for him. Hoping this is just a rumor otherwise our shot at getting something decent pretty much just died.

If this is announced at Sony's E3 stage, I'd blame them for being too stupid to realize that their fans would be outraged by this.

If Sony owns the IP they're 100% also making a new game. No reason to buy the IP otherwise.

This sounds worse than Conker in Project Spark...

But the PS4 exclusivity makes in unlikely for me, Crash was multiplat after PS1.

Would only make sense if Sony bought the ip.

If this rumour is true, then fuck Sony as well. It's so unbelieveably stupid, the way they've been teasing Crash. It wouldn't even be so bad if they were just teasing it, but in reality nothing happened, but this? It makes no sense. The people that care about Crash don't care about Skylanders. Why on earth would they do this? This is way, way, way worse than Nuts'n Bolts, the Conker DLC for Project Spark and Federation Force combined. Dammit. Why can't they do the frikkin obvious. Ratchet & Clank just released to record sales for the franchise. That should be proof that there is a market for these games. But nooooooo.

Yeah, you're right. Maybe it's just a crazy, unfounded rumor, though. We can hope.

But if true, it's so bad. And so emblematic of this generation. Look at Activision's track record alone: Skylanders keeps introducing more and more paywalls, and more and more chunks of plastic specific to different editions and consoles; Destiny launched with a bare-bones vanilla version with content designed to be sold later at a premium price; Tony Hawk 5 - 'nuff said; Call of Duty milked dry.

Folks need to stop getting into bed with Activision.

I'm actually super okay with this.

I always thought Crash was super overrated. This means that it won't waste a big reveal slot.

And we might also get The Last of Us 2 E3 (wishful thinking.)

Fully agree. Sony has done soooo much Crash teasing that if they don't release a brand new Crash game at some point they're pulling one of the biggest dick moves in video game history.
