My favorite joke at work
"Hey Pat can you give me a single out of the register?"
Me:Why would I do that? I am standing right here!
*curls up in a ball under the register and begins to sob silently*

Divorced my first wife.

Been engaged to my fiancé 4 1/2 years. Been together for 7 1/2 total.

Met on PlayStation home. She's from ny. Me from Texas. Long distance for four years with visits in between. Now living together since 2013.

Couldn't live without her.

Fine, I'll be the one to say it; Shit or get off the pot, dude. Nearly five years of "yeah, let's get married"?

Damn man, why?

Is easier than ever to start dating nowadays.

It's a series of events that have resulted in me becoming someone with a total lack of self esteem. Any attempt at coming out of that hole has been a lesson that I shouldn't have any. I'm also not at all comfortable with the way dating seems to work on the physical side. Again this is due to upbringing.

Plus if you guys would stop it with the console wars for one night, maybe I could actually be social. :P

What do you mean by the bolded part?

What do you think is stopping you talking to women?

Is it a lack of self confidence? Afraid of rejection?

Costs $30 to get married. Ceremonies can be held later.

Single. I'd rather not be in a relationship at the moment, especially when I'm primarily concerned about my success.

Quit with the excuses! You want long distance? My wife is from St Louis! I live in the UK. We had our 6th anniversary yesterday (of dating) and our 3rd wedding anniversary is in October.

And I had to do ceremonies both sides of the pond. Though granted I'm still paying the credit card lol. But that's more a result of her student loans. We did the actual wedding in the us pretty cheap. Flight tickets were our biggest outlays.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I'm single by choice. My last relationship was 6.5 years and the one before that 3 years. I'm enjoying the single life. No committment, so much freedom, and an assortment of ass. Makes me question why I ever thought relationships were a good idea in the firt place.

Ah these are all short term thrills that will end eventually. Once your friends start getting married with Kids etc and have little to no time for you anymore you will be wanting to spend your time with someone.

It sounds like you just spent the years above with the wrong people. If I spent nearly 10 years in two relationships that ended in failure like you did, I would want the what you have aobve too!

Almost all of my friends are married or have been married and have kids, at least my close friends. My last relationship wasn't bad at all, we broke up becasue she wanted to married, I didn't. I'm almost 30 still have no desire to get married, definitley not having kids, plan on getting a Vasectomy here in the next few months.

Single and ambivalent. There's some things I like about being in a relationship and some things I really don't.
