If PS4neo were to have backwards compatibility (with whatever PS console, really) then that would certainly make me more interested in it.

But I'm not really sure of the plausibility of that.

I can't see myself getting excited, I wasn't particularly excited when the PS4 itself was revealed and unless it's more than what's been rumoured it's just an upgrade, so while it's new, it's not really new. I am interested in it however, more to see if and how this new model will work.

If or when I want VR, only then will Neo be relevant. As for E3 , software is what has me excited.

I'm just hoping TLG and/or Horizon are still set for this year. Also would like to see a new GoW.

You'll be waiting a year or more for Scorpio.... by then so many people will have bought Neo that it will be lead platform for developers. 

Sony will probably launch another upgrade for late 2018 or early 2019 if needed. 

Plus Xbox no longer has any exclusives...all hit PC too. No Japanese games either...

Not on board? Yes they are, they all have dev kits..... 

Just cause Colin on KF said that a few devs he knows are not too happy doesn't mean all are the same way.
