Which is it?

Top 20 for me! 100 84.75%

Bottom 80 is where it's at! 7 5.93%

Why are you ruining my day with math? 5 4.24%

See results 6 5.08%

Total:118

Even the Top 5 of each system would be good enough to me, if there is no limit of different systems I use.

Then I could still play the best 450 Steam-games + the best 34 PS4-games + the best 21 XBO-games + the best 18 WiiU-games + the best 40 Vita-games + the best 50 3DS-games + the best 160 PS3-games + the best 180 X360-games + the best 140 Wii-games + the best 90 PSP-games + the best 200 DS-games + the best 180 PS2-games + the best 33 GameCube-games + the best 50 Xbox-games + the best 33 DreamCast games + the best 80 GBA-games...

That's already almost 2000 gorgeous games to chose from + the best classic games + the best mobile games.

Top 20. I don't have time to play 80 games on a console these days.

Quality over quantity so Top 20 easily.

Bottom 80 for me. I have such a hard time putting together a Top 50, that I end up with over 70 games that I truly love. Even if I lose some of the most dear, I'd still have some lovely ones as well.

I'm going to stretch your argument here to a logical conclusion. If I take the top 20, I'm taking the top 20% of a larger sample size. On a system like the PS2, the top 20% is nearly 800 games. On something like the Wii U, the top 20% is like two. (Jokes aside, it's about 150.) I wouldn't even want more than the top 5% of either of those systems because there were SO many terrible shovelware games on both.

I know you're reducing sample size to make it easier to choose, but I like the argument even at full scale because it allows people to choose what percent of games they'd want in a real situation.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Top 20 for sure. I like to buy a few good games and play them for a long time (hence why I am satisfied with my Wii U purchase)

Even if it was top 10 vs 90, I would still pick the top 10

I don't really feel like this is question. I don't have time for 20 games anyways, I'd rather have the 20 best ones. Second, at least 40 of the games in the bottom 80 are going to be complete crap.

Well, I didn't quite consider this if that's how the argument is framed. Obviously I take a literal 20% of a library, but choosing between 20 games and 80, I'll almost always take the 80. Especially as I've purchased well over 100 360, PSP, PS3, PS2, and PC games.

of course the top 20, who would pick the bottom 80 ?

Metacritic usually dont give JRPGs that high a scores. Most would be in the 80% , dispite being fantastic games.

Hmmm, I'd be quick to say the top 20, but seeing what the modern day top games are, the bottom 80 might be more suited for me. I wouldn't play them all, but there may be a higher chance of there being games fitted to my preference. The top games today..... not really my thing.
