In that case the PS4/Xone have 40 out of 100. So Sony/MS don't fit into the 20% category. They are more like the 40%

Too much good stuff is also bad.

I rather have only 20 good games so I don't have to spend too much money, gotta preserve my wallet!

Interesting. I think I'll go with the 80. In the end, if the top 20 are rated games, nobody can guarantee that those 20 games are my cup of tea, so having a larger pool will let me get more games that interest me according to my own tastes.

With quantity comes diversity and diversity means games more likely to appeal to specific preferences. Don't discard that so easily just because it's not top quality.

Bottom 80 for me....more than likely there will be more games I enjoy in the bottom 80. The top 20 will be very thin and more than likely not very diverse so in my opinion it wouldn't make sense to choose the top 20 because you may only like 5 games out of that 20 so you are losing if you ask me.

How about it, people? Would you change your answer if it was 10 vs. 90? Or even 5 vs. 95? Where's the cutoff?

At 10 vs. 90, it would depend on whose preferences the games are ordered by. My preferences? I'll take top 10, please. Reviews? Maybe bottom 90, I think. As for top 5 vs. bottom 95, I'd probably pick the bottom 95 in all cases. I might just be able to pick the top 5 games instead if I could choose any give games ever released on any platform, but for a single platform, there's no way five games would be enough no matter how good.

If this hypothetical console manages to have my top 100 of all time, I guess I'm going with "bottom 80". If not, "top 20".
