Forums - Movies & TV - Warcraft was OK.

This is of course my opinion.

I watched it yesterday, sitting in a cinema-entrance room with people you could clearly see was great WOW fans, they sure was excited and i hope the movie reached their expectations. I am not unfamiliare to WOW, i used to play it back when it was really big so the movie was a bit of a ''Must watch'' since i first heard of it.

But the movie had this constant flawes which was evident through-out the entire movie, which is basically almost in every scene....
- Bad dialog's ( Not convincing at all, i blame the bad directing and writers for that one, cause it even dragged down the performance of the actor's)
- Bad humor ( The cinema was basically silent during every comedic-attempt )
- unconvincable plot-twist's (No spoiler)

I did love the art-style, how they managed to capture the world of warcraft, the fighting scenes and the effect's was kinda fresh and in your face.

When a movie is good, all you need to do is to listen to the crowd walking out of the cinema, they will be talking about the movie and how great one of the scenes were and all that.. Sorry.. On my way out and on the streets, the ones that i saw wasn't exactly ofilled with of joy and enthusiasm.

I bet if they hired a writer who can do proper dialogs and a better director, this movie would been good., if not amazing.
If there is a sequal, i sure hope they took the criticism at heart, there is nothing wrong with the story, it just needed to be better polished in the delivery

If you disagree, well it's not much we can do about that haha.

I didn't watch it.

But I hate Warcraft, so I disagree by default.

I wish they had done the Arthas story line. They could have split it into 2 movies Warcraft:The Frozen Throne with the WOTLK cinematic as the ending scene and then part 2 'Warcraft:Wrath of the Lich King"

Hopefully the movie doesnt bomb so we can see that happen...

Yeah, it's sad when a Movie or in general a lot of things got a great potetial, even if it failed at first, the sequal can be top notch but due for the mistakes on the first movie, the second movie might never see the dawn of light. It's Blizzard, i can actually see them do it no matter what, i don't see them ending the movie here

Its already breaking records where its out. In my country and all the surroundings Its on number one.

"Elsewhere in the international marketplace, Universal released Warcraft in twenty territories this past weekend where it finished #1 in 19 of them"

So i hope it continues like that.

Opening at #1 in Russia and Germany plus a handful of small territories doesn't translate into ' breaking records' ...
