Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Star Fox Zero might be the end of the Star Fox series

Cant see any twitter posts in thread.

Am I correct assumeing this is ZhugeEX predicting that Starfox Zero world wide lifetime sales will be well below 500k?

*edit: twitter posts are showing now.

I'd rather no new Star Fox than more games like Zero. It sucks, but this is the world we have to live with.

It is not the end of the franchise, I think that's bullshit, but It will take a looong time until nintendo makes a new one.

BTW, Zero might have been a dissapointing game, but is FAR from a bad game, the press was heavily affected by the negativity around this game and the demanding controls were the perfect excuse to bash it, but the game is not bad at all, is a pitty most people thinks is bad just because the media says so.

Most people think its a bad game because its really a bad game. The press was heavily effected by how bad the game was, and the bad controls were one of many reasons the game was a really, very bad game, which is why they bashed them. Most people have a mind of their own and can think for themselves. Most people can also look at something and tell if its a bad game or not. It didn't take a rocket scientist to tell that SF0 wasn't going to be good, and no one needed games media to tell that to them. It was obvious from the reveal. Both of them.

ouch, it won't even reach Bayonetta's sales

I don't think it took a fraction of Bayo 2's budget either.

Nintendo made it harder on themselves with this one. Just make a Star Fox game by yourself so that there won't be design disputes. And Starfox is a game that doesn't require weird "new" controls. Just make the controls simple and make the game look like a next gen game.

If this is the best they could do with the franchise, cancellation would be for the best.

Thank you Miyamoto! You killed my interest for the game by being stubborn and not accepting non-gimmick controls. I had the CE in pre-order with Amazon for months until I learned the news and I bet many people skipped it for that reason also.

Nintendo and Miyamoto's arrogance has to come to an end as soon as possible.
Nintendo needs to understand that they have to do the games we ask for, and for the unasked games they are going to get only flops.

That's your opinion, an opinion you made 6 months before the game was released just like you made with Splatoon wich you are still saying that is bad even when everybody disagrees, a lot of people thinks is not a bad game at all:

ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC

It is not a great game at all, it has some serious flaws, but is certainly FAR from bad.

I dunno how the game turned out upon release, but I did play it at E3 last year, and the controls were terrible. There was a portion where I was forced to aim while looking at the tablet while I was also supposed to steer by looking at television. It was a mess to play. I didn't want it to fail by any means, but my impression at the time was that it was too difficult to control to be very enjoyable.
