According to mediacreate it has passed the 5m milestone. Happy to see it considering many thought it wouldn't even hit 3m.
Who knows what the future holds but it could potentially chug along for another few years and hit 7/8m+. Time will tell.
I wonder if it can reach the 8 million and beat the japanese sales of the N64 and the Saturn, 10m seems to be too much for the system at this point.
Really not shocking such good numbers, when you see here every Week this year (bar 1) it has outsold the Wii-U globally and just looking at the Japan Region the Vita this past week is at 17k compared to the 24k of both the 3DS and PS4, the console has done alright for itself sales wise considering the bad launch and PR it gets at times for having no games on it.
Great that so many people have gotten to experience just how good a system the Vita really is though, easily one of my top 3 consoles of all times the Vita.

If it could reach 8M lifetime it would be awesome though!
In my top 3 handhelds ever. I love the it, biggest complaint is the memory card prices being criminal. Other than that the games on it are really good. However it suffers the same problem as the Vita, bad battery life e~e if it had the battery life of the PSP/DS it'd be happy

So is Final Fantasy Origins 1/2, the remastered versions of 3/4 are on the store, as well as 6/7/8/9 from the PSone era.
in terms of Final Fantasy games I think it probably has access to more titles than any other system (bar the PC)

I meant like a new FF.
I can't see it ever getting Games like yokai watch 4, monster hunter 5 or DQ11.
but there's no reason capcom can't do a monster hunter heroes type spin off for vita and ps4 and a monster hunter builders.
If Sony want the vita to go another few years they really need to get that to accompany world of Final Fantasy over the next 2 years.
