Not really, I think Transformer was pretty decent.

They are better with their own games though, but the problem may be the amount of different games at the same time they are making, they need more time for everyone of them.

But losing prostige. Let's face it, they are under the umbrella of Sega Sammy, they aren't going to not exist. Console companies also recognise their talent and if you think there wasn't going to be steady work coming in for them I'd say you were wrong. Don't you think PS or Nintendo are going to be knocking on the door for an exclusive after the success of Bayo 2 and presumably Scalebound (which yeah, the performance of Scalebound looked terrible, but there is a LOT about Scalebound that looks amazing and is THE #1 reason I own an Xbone)? I will bet on it, just not with the people who didn't fulfill their end of previous bets.

I don't think Sony will give them a project, they have their own first party hack and slash game developer which makes the best selling games in the genre. They don't have much to be worried about in this regard.

Platinum games doesn't stand for quality anymore, they can make good games but there was a time I would be sure their games would be good, now its waiting for reviews before a purchase, they deff need to spent more time on less games.

Exactly. I remember from Bayo 2 prior you couldn't say there was a bad game really (Well outside Legend of Korra  which came out a month prior, but it was still a black sheep in a SWARM of amazing titles). There might have been one people didn't enjoy, but they were all solid games. Now they have just as many mediocre to sub par as they do amazing games....

*Edit* Basically, remember when the darn near 80 meta scored Wonderful 101 was the worst thing to happen to Platinum Games ever. Now irt's considered one of the good games Platinum has done.

Not really, Anarchy Reigns was awful.

Then Sony is just limiting themselves.

You know I never played it but I'm pretty sure a lot of people would agree, so you got me there. But still, the ratio was definitely in Platinum's favor.

Not really, the only reason Nintendo and Microsoft are giving them projects is because they lack their own first party hack and slash dev. Sony has a high quality dev in this genre, they don't need a Platinum game though it would only add to the PS4 library if they did let them make a PS4 exclusive.

Agreed.

The question should rather be: why we still get lincensed games? there were never good games based on a license.

I think the licensed games from platinum are better than anything else which would have resulted if other studios would have done them

Batman Arkham series, Spiderman 2, Injustice, Marvel vs Capcom, Shadow of Mordor, many racing game series there have been many great licensed games IMO, but Activision doesn't do justice to any of its licenses.
