Oh please, stop with the hyperbole. Microsoft announced a new, slimmer, better looking XB1 for $300, obviously pre-orders will be good. Also, those pre-orders have been up for just 7 days. Sony needs to drop to $300 when XB1 outsells the PS4 multiple months in a row, if sales are down YoY multiple months in a row (in certain conditions, obviously a certain month might have had a big game in 2015 but not in 2016, causing a YoY drop, no shame in that) or when the Neo launches (based on the Neo's price).

Also, even before dropping the price Sony can still try 2 things: a $350 Uncharted 4 bundle (maybe even including The Nathan Drake Collection) and a well priced PS4+PSVR bundle could do good numbers if PSVR is well received.

Sony needs to do something based of Amazon charts? lol. In the words of the great Gribble "Sony is a business not a forum fan."

XBS1 is a new product, of course it was going to see an increase in sales. Not till August which means June and July is automatically a PS4 win. But even then i don't think we'll see a 100K gap for August.

Don't know if anyone realised, but PS4 fell down to the 50's and was able to climb back up to it's usual position. That shows you how well it sells. XB1 never does that unless it has a promotional sale or a price cut.

When I said wait a while before you start losing your minds, I didn't just mean XB1 fans talking about 'tides turning', I was talking about Sony fans thinking they need to drop the price to compete. Sony have targets they want to meet and the only time they'll drop the price is when it looks like those targets are not going to be met.

I don't know how long you've been following sales, but Sony doesn't have to react at all. When a new version of a console is released, it's naturally going to dominate the charts for a while, until it eventually cools off. You can already see it in the charts with PS4 reclaiming its usual position.

Both sides with their "tides are turning" and "Sony has to react!" really have no idea what they're talking about. :p

The PS4 has almost caught up to the XB1 S sooner than I expected. I thought the XB1 S would hold for something like 3 weeks. The PS4 has more exclusive software than the XB1 for this month and July. Coupled with XB1 sales reallocated to August, PS4 will easily win both months by a good margin. It can keep the gap close in August if Sony rigorously advertises No Man's Sky and then, go all out on FFXV (and the bundle) in September.

I don't understand why the Xbox One is so high in the chartz and the highest ranking game on the Xbox One is Doom that is on the 31st spot of Amazon, I think that the Highest ranked exclusive Right now is Master Chief Collection at 91.

Novelty, basically. People like seeing shiny new boxes.

I saw The Last of Us remaster at the 31-33st on Amazon, this is a higher position than I was expecting.

Zelda is holding well at 14st even when it willl launch on the NX, and  is a game 9-10 months away from release.
