How much do you think Kingdom hearts 3 has to sell

4million times on PS4 and 500.000 on XBOX 35 33.65%

3million times on PS4 and 150.000 on XBOX 19 18.27%

6million times PS4 and 500.000 XBOX 20 19.23%

9million times PS4 and 1million XBOX 8 7.69%

I don't care anymore the... 22 21.15%

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

For it to be considered a success? It would have to sell over four million combined on XB1/PS4 for it to be a success, given the pedigree of the franchise and the fact that it's a numbered "mainline" sequel (even though there's no such thing as a game you don't have to play for the franchise's story to make sense).

Lol.... no it doesn't.

I think people seem to forget these days that gsmes cost $60 a pop. If it sells 2M copoes at full price thats still $160M in total revenue. With 4M copies at full price bringing in $240M. I don't see this game costing more than $60-$100M to make. And thats even pushing it, devs in japan aremt paid as much as devs in the states.

Well, this game has been in development for what already?4 years? And it is also one of its biggest franchises, so I see Square making a big marketing push for it.But as you said, I think with around 2.5 million solf is enough to make profit back.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Knowing Square-Enix, it'll probably need to sell 5+ million for them to consider it successful.

I'd say it'll sell between 4m and 5m.

P.S. Not the OP and me having identical avatars

I think with the help of 2.8, especially once the casuals realize how important it is, and that it is only on PS4, it will drive them to buy a PS4(plenty of other reasons, too) to get ready for KH3, resulting in 5-6 million on PS4. I predict less than a million on Xbox so around 500k. SE has been ignoring it since E3 2014 along with Hashimoto and Nomura last year stating that SE wants to help spread PS4's with their games. That speaks for itself.

I would say somewhere around 2-3 mil on PS4 and 1 to 1.5 mil on Xbox One.

Ps4 will quadruple xbox one version. Id say 4mil+ on ps4 and xbox one around 1mil

KH3 doesn't look like the most expensive game ever, and it's clear that games like FFXV and FFVIIR have a much bigger budget. It wouldn't surprise me if 3 million copies overall would be all they need to sell for the game to be considered a success, it'll sell more than that, I predict around 5 million if they play their cards right, but I really doubt that it's going to surpass KH1 in terms of sales.

I'm now filled with determination.

With how long it's been out of the game and the series in general:
