All of a sudden everyone is a animal activist but i can assure you that everyone of these people would think/act diffrently if that would be their 4 year old child down there. What a hypocritical society.

Actually there are a lot of people agreeing that shooting the gorilla was the right choice. But it was obviously the mother's fault, which then caused the death of the gorilla. I don't see anything hypocritical about that.

Did you all see the video because I could clearly see that the gorilla was only helping.

I love people.Mistakes happens, was she careless very much so but the kid had to be saved. They did the best thing by shooting the Gorilla, tranquilizers probably would of took too long.No animal is worth a human life especially in this situation.

Zoos should be illegal. You cage a bunch of wild animals to put on display and be mocked, then when an irresponsible person puts themselves or others at risk, the animal is at fault. They're fucking disgusting.

Though I have some negative thoughts about zoo's (especially how bad they were in the 80's), most western zoo's are actually pretty good these days and do a lot to ensure the survival of animals/conservation. So I dont agree with that at all.

The woman is to blame for this, and she should be charged.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

How the hell is it possible for a child to get down there? Shouldn't there be fences preventing anyone from getting in?

It never ceases to amaze me the superiority we feel we have over every other animal. Perhaps in the future we'll have a sign that says: "Do not go underneath the railing, through the wires, and across the moat, as it may not be safe". There becomes a certain point when people need to be responsible for their decisions.

He supposedly went under the railings, through some wires, and across a moat. Long story short, there is absolutely no reason why the mother wasn't able to get his attention until he was down there.

There is also a person who was at the scene who heard the child joking to the mother about going into the water.

Damn. Poor gorilla.

Can you prove the bolded above? If so, how?

Might want to hold off on calling people hypocrites.

Yup. Parent's fault. Gorilla's are very strong so i'm not surprised the reaction was to kill it. The child would probably die otherwise.

God had nothing to do with it, obviously...
