My suggestion is return it and get a vita ;

imo better jrpgs and just a generally getting console to use. When I play the 3DS after playing the Vita it always feels like im playing some cheap console. Probably just personal preferance though and I know alot of people probably wont agree with me :)

Always funny how someone that shows his preferences everywhere, can´t even hold back in a Nintendo system specific thread. The funny thing is, that in this regard, the ones that will have to cope with outdated hardware in the dedicated handheld segment, for many years to come, because there simply is no interest to produce a successor, will be the same people, that bash the 3DS for its hardware, while still holding PSV on a pedestal. lol

If you like platformers stage I would recommend the 3DS version of Sonic Generations I absolutely loved it, 100%'d it in about 25ish hours of play but really if you're a fan of Sonic/Platformers and can find it cheap then I would definitely recommend.

Also has online play, was... mostly very fun and added an hour or 2 to the game.

Hardware wise the Vita is a generational gap over the power of the 3DS and as Think-man said it does have a lot of little user friendly things which the 3ds is lacking in  (PSN Store compared to the eshop, Custom sound tracks within games, browser functionality, porn downloading and streaming, power saving functionality/not just powering off when you run out of battery power) there are a lot of ways that the Vita is just a better system for the end user, the fact that there will be a New New 3ds down the line doesn't change that fact as of right now.

Also did I mention the Vita can stream games from the PS4? because I meant to say that.... and you can put a psone disk in a PS3 and stream that to the Vita too... on your own network or if you have fast upload you can even do it from work or cafes... also at night you can hold the Vita close and it will sing to you (providing you fill it with mp3s and don't hold it so close that you crush it)

My favorite games on 3DS :

- Mario 3D Land
- Luigi's mansion 2 (very funny and enjoyable game)
- Donkey kong country 3D (Best version because of superiors controls compared to Wii mandatory gimmick controls and the 3D is great)
- Cave story 3D (hidden gem I loved that one, 3D can be strong in this game on OG 3DS, you can lower the effect...)
- Mario & Luigi dream team (not as good as Bowser's inside story unfortunately but still good)
- Zelda A link between worlds (a bit easy but very enjoyable)
- Pushmo (3D puzzle)

PLAY ALWAYS WITH 3D ENABLED! It's great!

My favorite games on DS:

- Dragon Quest 9
- Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
- Mario & Luigi: Partners in time (less good than the 2 others but still good)

Fire Emblem Awakening
A Link Between Worlds

Fantasy Life
Rune Factory
Mario Kart 7
Animal Crossing
Pokemon

Etrian Odyssey
Bravely Default

Pretty much useless considering Sony doesn´t even consider developing games for this thing anymore and that this is a games recomendation thread - on top of it a 3DS games specific one.

Yep. This is really the heart and soul of the issue.  Sony focuses all of their primary developers on the console and not the handheld, whereas Nintendo is the opposite. They focus mostly on the handhelds. They both lack in the areas where the other excels. Sony is choice for a console and Nintendo is choice for a handheld. The only question in my mind was out of the mountain of games Nintendo has for the 3DS, which games are the best? From all fo the great responses on this thread, i've narrowed down my choices to quite a few games. I couldnt name five vita games on my fingers.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it already, but I suggest Attack of the Friday Monster: A Tokyo Tale.

I've always wanted to get that on console. Holy hell! They put it on the 3DS? This is workingout better than I thought!
