Tales of The Abyss if you haven't played it already.

Is that in the same franchise as Tales of Vesperia?

I'd rate kid icarus as the best 3ds game and probably the best nintendo game in a long time but the controls were controversial with many people.

My suggestion is return it and get a vita ;P

Out of the games I have for my 3DS Id recommend, Bravely Default :) people also recommended FE awakening to me and I played it for a while but It was nothing special. I have a couple of other Jrpgs in my collection but I haven't gotten around to trying them since my gf took my 3ds a few months ago to play Pokemon xD

But why? What does the Vita have that the 3DS doesnt outside of the Uncharted game?

The Vita has an overpriced memory card that makes you pay 100 dollars for 64 GB

Its perfect if you're a person who dies for JRPG. Otherwise, stick with the 3ds

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Since people are already giving excellent advise here, ill give advice on a different type of game:the Zero Escape franchise.

If you like reading books or experiencing a great story, you should not miss this. There is currently two titles in the franchise:999 for DS and Virtues Last Reward for the 3DS.Virtue is quite easy to find, since you can download it at the eshop(for 10 or 15 dollars I think), but 999 is harder to find.I highly recommend playing 999 first, even if you have to emulate it.It tells and excellent story, one of thje best that I have ever seen. And the last entry in the franchise is comming in June, so you can get the whole story in one fell swoop.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Yes, it is.

My suggestion: do some research on your own.

Buy games for it and don't complain it not having games like every Nintendo-hater.

Dang, if people are gonna recommend FE Awakening, may as well recommend Fates as well. It pretty much outshines Awakening in almost every aspect : P

If you had to get one, get Birthright if you're new to the series or Conquest if you want a challenge. If you can, get Revelations as well. It's a pretty great 3rd story.

Lots of great choices that have already been said, but I'll repeat the recommendation for SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker. It's a fantastic game that really caught me off guard. Probably my favorite in the franchise honestly.

Tales of the Abyss and both Fire Emblem titles are also great choices.
