I didn't buy it for its future library(which is essentially non-existent), I bought it for its current list of excellent exclusives. NX probably won't be backwards compatible. Nintendo don't like selling hardware at a loss and have to compete against the Xbox One and PS4 which have a 3 year head start, not to mention the possibility of PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio. Implementing backward compatibility would raise the cost of the unit significantly. There is nothing pointing to the NX having backwards compatibility.

That's a good price! Take advantage of as many deals on the older games as you can!

Defs! I don't like alot of Nintendo's policies but I cannot argue that they don't make great games.

The only downside to buying a console like that is there's nothing to look forward to. You'll buy the best games and slowly but surely, you'll whittle down to the games you never really wanted but are just buying because.

Aside from that, it's a great buy. Lots of good games to enjoy. Splatoon wasn't for me but my daughter still plays it all of the time.

You aren't wrong, but I figured it had enough(10+) great games that are not available anywhere else and the price was really amazing, so it made sense.

The way I look at it is that I did not have to deal with the severe droughts the Wii U had and I get to play all these great exclusives at once :P

No point not to be! It's a good price and while the Wii U's library isn't exactly huge, it does have plenty of fantastic games. I have about 25 myself right now which is more than enough for me.

Good job. Much maligned but generally pretty great console with good library of games.

Make sure you also get MK8, Splatoon, Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade X. Those 5 games are just as good as anything you'll find on the PS4.
