They were both released last year. They're not necessarily "from the past". If you're dying for a new, big phone, then wait for the Note 6. Rumours are showing it will be a monster 

Recent rumors suggest 5.77" with basically the same hardware as the S7. Not enough for me to upgrade. Gotta have to wait for the generation after that.

I legit want a 7" phone. Why? Multimedia. The Zenfone 3 Ultra might fit the bill as my next phone at 6.8". It would be awesome for Hearthstone too.

At the moment I have a 4.5" Lumia 920, which is getting long in the tooth after having it for almost 4 years... And one of the hardest parts of going from my PC or my tablet to the phone is the size, or lack-there-of.

I would say that a phone is too big when it fells uncomfortable to use it.
